Middle School Social Justice Blogs
As part of the Social Justice project, the Middle School group decided to write about issues that are important to them. Four students provided original content for the newsletter. It has been our pleasure to teach the middle school and we hope you get some insight on how thoughtful they can be! This week we feature the writing of Maia Thomas. You can read her post, titled "Gender Discrimination and the Patriarchy," here .

Another Successful Food Distribution
There were plenty of volunteers both days, and the Friday food distribution went smoothly. Seventy-seven people signed in to take food for their families, including many for the first time. Foods included bread, pastries, tangerines, apples, bananas, cherries, grapes, tomatoes, green beans, onions, avocados, squash, bell peppers, hot peppers, sweet potatoes, and the world's largest carrots. A nurse came from Seton to provide free blood pressure screening, and gave out hand sanitizer and a first aid zipper pouch. There was an occasional cool drizzle, but there were warm smiles all around the parking lot. What Live Oak does best.... ENRICH CONNECTIONS

High School OWL (grades 10-12) is coming this spring.
