Dear Ministry Partner,

The CCI Vietnam conference was a three-day leadership event which took place on August 1-3 in central Vietnam. CCI teachers, CCI students, alumni, and ministry leaders came from around the country with 96 participants in attendance. This was our second conference since 2020, which took place in a southeast region of Vietnam. The topic was Live at Peace, the key words taken from Romans 12:6. “If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”

Our goal is simple: to help our participants solve conflict in a godly way. Our main speaker for this topic was Dr. David Nelson, the president of CCI. There were some other topics from indigenous speakers: (1) Mobilizing Family Members into Ministry (2) The Calling and Qualifications of Church Leaders (3) The 7 Signs of The Healthy Church (4) Confronting a Virtual Pandemic on The Digital Media.

Resolving Conflict in a Godly Way is a one-day seminar designed by Dr. David Nelson to equip church leaders with the knowledge and skills for resolving inter-church and interpersonal conflict and for reconciling stained relationships. The other seminars were to equip participants for the current needs of the local churches.

"I am a CCI student. I would like to share a short testimony of how I have learned from Book#6. This book: Personal Spiritual Life impressed me so much on the temptation topic. Everyone can be tempted by desires of the flesh and eyes, and by demons. It is good to see some examples in the bible who won temptation, such as Jesus. I have learned that the Word of God is the most powerful weapon to fight against sin. Besides, prayer is also our strength to show that we are not leaning on own power, but on God. I trust in the Lord and his Word and by the power of the Holy Spirit who is in me, will help me discern the temptation and fight against it."

Help Support New Coordinators & Ministry Needs in Vietnam

Prayer Requests & Praises

Pray for my family as I travel the US on the CCI Fall Tour from August 31 – October 26. May God protect and keep my family safe as my wife manages everything in the house alone, from taking care of my children, to school and work.

Prayer for our Hmong teachers; may God give them wisdom and more confidence as they teach. Some teachers are not able to answer questions from students, which makes them confused and they lose confidence.

May God provide financially for the special class for Hmong teachers and other tribes from the North of Vietnam for this November. This will be an accelerated training for those who are in ministry and have been trained in different bible classes. Instead of training them in a Teacher Training Workshop (TTW), we are going to teach them through each book of our curriculum so that they can gain the confidence to teach others. This is going to be an intensive class, which will meet only 3 times together in Ha Noi.

We are looking for a Hmong Coordinator who can help supervise classes in north Vietnam. Pray that God will provide a trustworthy and accountable man of God to take responsibility of the ministry of teaching and making disciples.
