Join us for a virtual waltz dance and concert with Terpischore this Friday at 7:30pm. This virtual dance and concert, presented in partnership with Waltz Time, is the third concert in our Live from the Spanish Ballroom special engagement series

This Saturday, at 9:30am, join us for another story in our Carousel Story Time series. We will be reading A Ride to Remember by Sharon Langley and Amy Nathan. It tells the story of a carousel — just like the one at Glen Echo Park — that was also part of the civil rights movement in the 1960s . Carousel Story Time

Join us this Saturday, May 15, on our website and YouTube for the next Story Time. We will read A Ride to Remember by Sharon Langley and Amy Nathan.

As part of our Carousel 100th Anniversary celebration, we hope you and your little ones will join us each month from April through September for Carousel Story Time on Saturday mornings. We will present six stories that feature wonderful tales of carousels. 

Carousel Story Time is presented in collaboration with the Puppet Co.

Enjoy a "Click-on Concert" from the Washington Conservatory - an extraordinary Baroque concert pre-recorded by members of the Pressenda Chamber Players, including two WCM faculty members Sonja Chung, violin, and Tobias Werner, cello, with guest harpsichordist Patrick Merrill. Concert is free, but donations are welcome.
Photo Slam 2021

Live-streamed from the Lost Origins Gallery in Mount Pleasant, the Photoworks Slam returns June 6, 2021.
Hosted by national poetry slam winner Regie Cabico and presented in cooperation with Focus on the Story, the Slam offers photographers the opportunity to vie for an exhibition in the Photoworks 2022 Gallery.
Top 3 winners and the audience winner will hold an exhibit of their winning images in the Photoworks Gallery.

Virtual Adventure Theatre

Adventure Theatre continues to celebrate API Heritage Month with a children's book on fighting anti-Asian racism during COVID-19. Proud, Young, and Sung-Jee by Joyce Y. Lee, Emily Ku, and Maggie Chen provides an educational resource to help generate meaningful discussions between adults and children about anti-Asian racism.

Carousel Family Days
May 22, 2021 | 11am - 3pm

Our first Carousel Family Day will be held at the Park in the Bumper Car Pavilion and will include a Make-Your-Own-Carousel craft and creating a Happy Birthday card for the carousel. Also, visitors will be able to watch a mural celebrating the carousel's centennial being painted in the Park.

This is a FREE activity and open to all families. Pre-registration is required.
Carousel Cutouts

Make a $100 donation in recognition of the 100th anniversary of Glen Echo Park's Dentzel Carousel and your portrait cutout will ride the carousel for one month during the 2021 centennial season (May - September)! Special 50% savings when you order a second cutout!
