Catty Hour is Back, Live In Shelter!
Friday, June 11
As life gradually returns to normal, we are so happy to host our first in-person Catty Hour at the shelter in many months. The event is from 6pm to 8pm, and we will offer complimentary wine and snacks. You will finally be able to hold that special cat in your lap that you may have met in past virtual events! Please remember that this evening is for adults only, and donations are most welcome. RSVP to Suellen at or call 303-239-9680 option 5. We hope to see you there!
Celebrating Pride Month
As we have for years, Cat Care Society is participating in Denver's Pride Fest all month long! We have exciting raffles and colorful rainbow cat items for purchase in our Meow Mart. Please click the link: to go to our Pride section. In addition to quilts and Pride bed bundles of cat items for the raffles, we have lots of rainbow cat toys in our online Meow Mart.
Kitten Season Needs
We already have a great many kittens, and pregnant and nursing moms in our foster homes, and more arrive every week. Right now we are in need of KMR for our bottle babies. KMR is a milk replacement for the tiny ones who come in without mothers and who must be fed by hand. You can order KMR through either of these links, and have it shipped to Cat Care Society: KMR Chewy or KMR Amazon.

There are other ways to help the shelter with kitten season...just visit our Kitten Season Page. There are also fun videos of the little ones, and some informative material about kittens.

Thank you for your support!
Tails of the Painted Cats 2021
September 11, 2021
It's time to get on-board for the 2021 Tails of the Painted Cats Gala Auction and Dinner. This is Cat Care Society's biggest fundraiser of the year, and one that is held only every other year. As in the past, we will be auctioning off uniquely decorated cats and also this year, dogs. If you are a jewelry lover, you will enjoy our Classy Cats collection of cat themed jewelry and other accessories. Among the other items for auction are flat cat paintings, a dog and beer table, and a raffle for one of the cat creations.

How are the Painted Cat artists selected? The call goes out a full year prior to the actual event. Every artist who has expressed interest receives an application to submit a design. When all the designs are collected, they are juried, and the most creative and interesting are selected to participate. Cat Care Society has been extremely fortunate to have artist Cheryl St. John select the designs that will eventually turn into the exciting works of art that you see at Tails of the Painted Cats. Please click here to read more about our TOPC Juror.

Early bird pricing is now in place for individual tickets, Date Night for Two, and tables for eight. Please click Painted Cats to purchase your tickets for this special evening.

Window Screens and Safety for Your Cats
With the warm spring and summer weather we are having, many of us like to have our windows open. Our cats love the fresh air too! But open windows, even with screens, can be very hazardous for our pets. Please read this excellent article about screen and window safety to learn how to keep your furry friends safe this summer. The article is in "The Conscious Cat" by Ingrid King."
Supplies Request

Here at CCS, we rely heavily on donations. We are currently running low on paper towels and toilet paper. Any help you can provide is always appreciated.
Donations can be left in the front lobby of the shelter or shipped to 5787 W. 6th Ave. Lakewood, CO 80214.

Thank you in advance, and thank you for your continued support!
Indri Needs a Home
Indri is a sweet, small girl with a sassy side. She really enjoys lounging by a window in a soft bed while watching the birds and seeing the seasons change. Indri is friendly, but she can get overstimulated sometimes, so please pay attention to her signals. She does not care for other animals, so she must be in a home without any other pets.

Indri came to Cat Care Society in 2015 after her owners could no longer care for her. She has a pretty extensive medical history, but thanks to care by the medical staff at CCS, she is now only on one medication-Prednisolone. Indri is also on a special food for her medical condition. She has GI malabsorption so will need to stay on her meds and and have regular checkups.

Indri would love a home with a human companion or two that will give her lots of love. She wants to be able to cuddle with them as well as have her space when she wants some quiet time alone. Please come meet Indri!
