Last month, CHA received the highest level of recognition in the Human Rights Campaign Health Equality Index - LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality Leader. 

The Health Equality Index is a national tool that evaluates healthcare facilities’ policies and practices related to the equity and inclusion of LGBTQ+ patients, visitors and employees. CHA shares information with the Human Rights Campaign every two years, and each time we are held to higher standards. When you or a loved one needs to see someone who understands and respects who you or they are, come to CHA.

Named Best Maternity Hospital, Again!

CHA was named a Newsweek Best Maternity Hospital for the fourth year in a row. The 2024 Best Maternity Hospitals list identifies the leading hospitals for childbirth across the country. Rankings are based on recommendations from healthcare professionals, hospital quality metrics and patient experience surveys. This is another example of why CHA is the right choice for growing families.

Special Care for Special Deliveries

Newborn babies sometimes need extra support and CHA's pediatric hospitalist team, led by neonatologist Dr. Kimberlee Chatson, is here to provide that care. Our pediatric hospitalists have advanced training in the care of premature or sick babies and are on staff at both CHA and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. They attend high risk deliveries and work with our amazing nurses to care for babies in our Level IB Continuing Care Nursery. This expert team provides specialized care using state-of-the-art equipment in a quiet, safe and comfortable space for issues like low blood sugars, mild respiratory distress, infection, or jaundice. If your newborn needs specialized care, they’re in good hands at CHA.

Need a Ride?

CHA is offering free rides to sexual and reproductive health appointments from Cambridge, Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Medford, Revere, Somerville, and Winthrop. Just ask for a ride when you book your next appointment. Anyone on your team can fill out a form to arrange transportation with Green Cab and Yellow Cab.
