Tax Break for BCM Patrons
Good news! The 6% state sales tax exemption that was eliminated for KY non-profits last summer has been reinstated. That means that, effective immediately, BCM patrons will no longer be required to pay the sales tax on museum admissions, events and memberships. We're delighted that this change will continue to make BCM an affordable destination for all of our visitors.
Learn about this Kentucky artist who lived a Spartan life with his wife Anna along the Ohio River while writing, playing music and creating art, and make a small painting of your own to take home. Designed for students in grades two through five. Cost is $8 for students and $5 for adults. Price includes museum admission. BCM members only pay $3 craft fee. Free parking. Preregistration required by April 7. Call 859-491-4003 with a credit card number to reserve your spot.
Explore the life cycle of plants from seed to bloom through a flower-themed craft. Chippie, BCM’s chipmunk mascot, introduces science to children aged 3 to 5 in this fun and educational monthly series, which incorporates S.T.E.A.M. elements and age appropriate experiments! Cost: museum admission plus $3 lab fee per child. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration required: call (859) 491-4003. Free parking.
