Novena to the Holy Spirit
Please join in praying for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit on our community and our world in the days leading up to Pentecost, May 22-30
Come, Holy Spirit,
as in a new Pentecost,
for our need is great.
You are Comforter:
be with those who mourn the loss of loved ones.
You are Advocate:
be the defense of the poor and the afflicted.
Pour forth your gifts of wisdom and fortitude
on medical personnel and scientists
as they continue their healing work.
Grant understanding and counsel to our leaders,
that their decisions
may serve the common good.
Renew your presence in us,
that our fear and isolation may fade,
and hope be reborn in each of us.
You who live and reign
with the Father and the Son,
one God, for ever and ever.

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful,
And kindle in them the fire of your love.
You send forth your Spirit, and they are created.
And you will renew the face of the earth.
