CMS primer for Colorado physicians: Reopening your medical practice
Gov. Jared Polis issued an executive order on April 27, moving the State of Colorado from the “Stay at Home” phase of his COVID-19 response plan -- with a temporary cessation of all elective and non-essential surgeries and procedures -- to the “Safer at Home” phase -- that permits the limited recommencement of voluntary or elective surgeries or procedures. The Colorado Medical Society developed a primer to help CMS members understand what the executive order and amended public health order mean for their practices, and to provide information on other requirements, obligations, and best practices as you resume providing a full range of health care services to your patients. Access the primer here .

We need physicians to respond to the COVID-19 survey; please remind those in your practice
The Colorado Medical Society, in partnership with many of our partners in the Colorado House of Medicine, sent an important survey to physicians last week asking how the COVID-19 crisis has affected you. We ask you to mention this to physicians in your practice, if possible, and urge them to complete the survey using the personalized link that was emailed to them at 5 p.m. on May 12 and again at 7 a.m. on May 15. (Because the link is unique to each member to ensure validity of the data, we cannot include the link here.) These messages -- from SurveyGizmo -- may be in a junk/spam folder. Physicians will receive a final reminder on Wednesday, May 20. Thank you for your time.
