A Great Weekend in Downtown Lake City

Another month in the books and wow did we have a great one. The Chamber brought Johnny Appleseed Days back downtown and created an all-out block party. Vendors, food trucks, live music, community members and visitors from all over packed the streets, and we topped it off with our first annual Beer and Cider Fest.

Fall Fest Fun Continues!

Rotary Beer, Wine, and Spirits Tasting

Ok, by now you’re in love with fall and everything Fall Fest and you want to support future efforts to bring more new and exciting programing to Lake City year after year. So, join us for this fundraiser lunch and silent auction at our local VFW and have fun while assisting this great community event!




Haunted Hok Si La

Last year's huge success is back!

The ghosts of an old, broken down, and haunted carnival and circus have been discovered on the outskirts of Lake City! Come join us for a tour, if you dare! Don’t miss this one day haunted trail in Lake City’s beautifully spooktacular Hok Si La Park from 6-9pm.

 

Halloween Fun For the Kiddos!

Come and join us for our 3rd annual Halloween Party! This free event is great for kids of all ages. Enjoy games, crafts, music, food, a spooky graveyard, and more!

Trick or Treat on Washington St.

October 31st

(Downtown Lake City)

The 12th annual Trick or Treat on Washington Street is back! As in the past, Lake City businesses located on other streets are welcome to bring their supply of treats and join on Washington street from 5-7pm as we celebrate Halloween. Costumes encouraged.

Trunk or Treat in Patton Park

October 31st

(Patton Park)

This fun event will be on Halloween evening from 4pm-6pm between Patton Park and City Hall. Set up will begin at 3pm. Decorate the trunk of your vehicle, promote your business or organization, hand out candy, play games, etc.

Start at the park, then head to Washington Street businesses for more trick or treating fun!

Go Nuts for the Holidays

Local businesses are decorating their storefronts with a Nutcracker theme for the holidays! Lake City is invited to vote for their favorite displays between Nov 25th and Dec 9th. On the last day of voting (12/9) there will be a 'Walk Down Holiday Lane' from 5-8pm with special events and offerings!

Light Up Lake City

Speaking of the Holidays, mark your calendar for Light Up Lake City!

2023's event will occur on November 25th with a fire truck parade at 4pm, music, hot beverages, and the ceremonial lighting of Patton Park at 5:15pm. Did we mention Santa will make an appearance?!

The Chamber Gives Back

Nordic Ski Club


The Y-Knot-Tri is a volunteer led fundraising effort, with a percentage of proceeds benefitting the Lake City silent sport community. This year the Y-Knot Tri supported the Lake City Nordic Club.

Lake City Nordic is a cross country ski club in the high school for 7th-12th grade students. The club actively meets to cross country ski from mid-November until the end of February. The club practices together, participates in ski events, and partakes in races. All equipment for skiing is provided; students just need to bring a desire to participate. Interested students may contact Jim Anderson at janderson@lake-city.k12.mn.us


Lake City Lion's Club Fireworks Fund


On Tuesday, October 10th, the Lake City Chamber Board of Directors presented a $1000 check to the Lake City Lions Club in support of their efforts to bring the 4th of July Fireworks Over Lake Pepin back to Lake City in 2024!

The Chamber is incredibly grateful to the Lion's Club for taking on this event, and excited to support them with information and logistics.
