Pastor Ned’s Message
Sunday morning:   “I Choose”
Growing up there were a few people in our neighborhood you could count on like clockwork.  Roy always delivered milk to our doorstep before 6:30am every morning, old man Knutson sat in his front porch and kept watch over our comings & goings (a practice which always prompted colorful commentary from my father) , and Girard could be found in his driveway, shooting one free throw after another, after another, after another.
This month we’re exploring the intentional choices we make that shape our character and identity.  Sunday morning we stop and spend time at this way-point: Choosing the pain of discipline over the pain of regret.
Girard, no matter the temperature, time of day, or time of year, he never stopped shooting free throws; a discipline that no doubt had much to do with him tossing in the winning free throws in the State Championship Game not that many years later.
What do you want most?  And what do you need to choose now, to achieve that?

Pastor Ned’s Sabbatical: January 20-April 6
Earlier this Fall Living Water learned we were the recipients of a generous grant by the Lilly Foundation. In addition to providing Pastor Ned the opportunity to step away from his duties for a couple months of renewal, monies were made available for our church to pay for coverage in his absence.
Where’s he going? Week one, Pastor Ned, Jill & Thea will be attending...
The Annual Celebration of Ministry
(annual meeting) will be held immediately
after worship on February 2, 2020.
All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
January Message Series: "I Choose”
Who are we today? Essentially, we are the sum total of choices, the majority of them made by us. Who will we be tomorrow? The decisions we’re making today will determine our ‘who’ and ‘what’. Choices matter. Join us this month for a message series that holds the power to shape your life for the better in 2020 and beyond!

Please take time to read Bishop Laurie Skow-Anderson’s Annual Report
to the congregations of the NW Synod of Wisconsin. It is full of useful information and important dates.

Food Wagon
What is Living Water is most known for in the community? Besides our passion to serve others through Christ, we’re all about food. Feeding the hungry has been a mission mainstay for over a decade.
This winter, we’re reaching out to our ministry partners with an idea: purchasing a hot dog stand that we make available to the nonprofit groups of Barron County for use in their fundraising efforts. Scouts, civic groups, school clubs, athletic boosters...we provide the stand and some hot dogs to get them started, they furnish the rest. Interested in helping out or learning more? Please contact Jeff Rasmussen, LT President at:  [email protected]
