Caring for people with bleeding disorders in developing countries—

one at a time

Living a Best Life: Dua's Story

Dua is a nine year old girl from Pakistan with factor VII deficiency. Dua has received support from Project SHARE, our factor donation program, and is a sponsorship beneficiary. She currently lives with her mom, brother and sister. Her mom is a single mom, due to her father's passing a few years ago. Despite her challenges, Dua is doing well. Our program partners in Pakistan recently shared an update on her success:

"I am happy to share the success of this little girl, 9 years of age, with factor VII deficiency. Dua was registered with us for care and treatment, when she was 5 years of age. After Dua’s father passed away in road traffic accident a couple of years ago, she was enrolled with SOL. Her rare bleeding disorder is treated with factor donated by Project SHARE. Now since Factor VII is registered in Pakistan, we are here to treat free of cost from the HTC. Dua is a happy child now, living a best life for herself."

Dua is in 3rd grade and her favorite subject is English. She loves painting and wants to be a doctor when she is older. In her annual update, Dua and her family shared that the sponsorship funds have enabled her to pursue an education that they couldn't afford otherwise. Now, Dua has confidence and motivation to reach her dreams. We are so happy to hear the impact our programs have made on her life!

Save One Life commits to sending sponsorship funds to beneficiaries —

even after they lose a sponsor.

908 children sponsored through our Sponsorship Program

162 covered by the Save One Life Community Fund

Please consider sponsoring one of many children available for sponsorship, like Britt Matthew from the Philippines.

Britt Matthew is a 3 year old boy with severe hemophilia A. He lives with his parents and three siblings.

You can help this child and his family by giving them the gift of sponsorship. The funds will be used for basic necessities, medical treatment and transportation.

You can make a difference — Sponsor Britt!
