The Eagle & Child Society (E&CS) is a social gathering where we host topical discussions and have the chance meet with other Christians beyond Sunday morning. The E&CS is open to anyone interested in attending. The name ‘Eagle & Child’ is an homage to Inklings, the regular gathering of friends in Oxford, England. The Inklings was comprised of C. S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkien, Charles Williams, Owen Barfield, and others. They met regularly at the Eagle & Child pub. They shared their lives, their work, and their ideas with one another in the informal, friendly setting of the local public house.
