Last September we quoted Dr. Linda Johnston, M.D., “The coronavirus is about 100 nanometers in diameter. Cloth mask ‘holes’ are 1,000 times larger than a virus. An analogy is used that a mask is like a mosquito getting through a chain-link fence. It’s actually much worse, it’s a mosquito getting through a chain-link fence with holes 14 yards in diameter.”1
An article published through the National Center for Biotechnology Information [NCBI] confirmed Dr. Johnston’s conclusion. Established in November, 1988, the NCBI is a division of the National Library of Medicine [NLM] at the National Institutes of Health [NIH]. Its mission is to “develop new information technologies to aid in the understanding of fundamental molecular and genetic processes that control health and disease.”2
The article was written by Baruch Vainshelboim, who has a Ph.D. in clinical exercise physiology in pulmonary rehabilitation and hence has an excellent understanding of the fundamental processes related to health and masking.
“The physical properties of medical and non-medical facemasks,” writes Dr. Vainshelboim, “suggest that facemasks are ineffective to block viral particles due to their difference in scales. According to the current knowledge, the virus SARS-CoV-2 has a diameter of 60 nm to 140 nm [nanometers - billionth of a meter], while medical and non-medical facemasks’ thread diameter ranges from 55 µm to 440 µm [micrometers - one millionth of a meter], which is more than 1000 times larger. Due to the difference in sizes between SARS-CoV-2 diameter and facemasks thread diameter (the virus is 1000 times smaller), SARS-CoV-2 can easily pass through any facemask.”
Regarding breathing physiology, “it is well established that acute significant deficit in O2 [hypoxemia] and increased levels of CO2 [hypercapnia] even for a few minutes can be severely harmful and lethal, while chronic hypoxemia and hypercapnia cause health deterioration, exacerbation of existing conditions, morbidity and ultimately mortality.”3
Although strictly adhering to the principles of true science, the scholarly article found no favor with the brand of pseudo-science propagated by Dr. Anthony Fauci and blindly copied by Media elites and most blue state governors and mayors.
Jeffrey A. Tucker and Jenin Younes write that the article “is consistent with vast amounts of the consensus at this time last year, before the orthodoxy suddenly changed, and the evidence that has accumulated during the past twelve months. Given that masking of healthy populations for long periods of time is a new policy, it is astounding that the media and scientific journals decided within a matter of months that the efficacy of the practice could not be questioned or studied, nor its adverse effects discussed. … Science is a process, by which new information and evidence are incorporated as they are discovered. Anthony Fauci and Andrew Cuomo are exploiting the term ‘science’ to convey to the public that certain beliefs cannot be questioned, and they are being assisted by big tech platforms like YouTube, which obviously seek to control the parameters of the discussion. No matter how many times these people repeat the word ‘science’, they are promoting precisely the opposite of science: dogma.”4 [emphasis added]
With that in mind, we turn to New York Attorney General Letitia James and Connecticut Attorney General William Tong’s opinion piece in The Washington Post of April 8, 2021, headlined, “Anti-vaxxers put us all at risk. Facebook and Twitter must ban them.”
The lawyer-turned politician duo pontificate that “… vaccine availability means nothing without vaccine acceptance. Anti-vaccine disinformation that continues to be disseminated unchecked on social media threatens to prolong our recovery and poses a grave threat to the health and safety of millions of Americans. … The solution is not complicated. It’s time for Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to turn off this toxic tap and completely remove the small handful of individuals spreading this fraudulent misinformation. … As the chief law enforcement officers of our states, we can say that there is no First Amendment right to spread disinformation on social media.”5
And all this in response to a coronavirus that, according to the CDC itself, has a survivability rate of 99.997% for ages 0-19; 99.98% for ages 20-49; and 99.5% for ages 50-69.
The supposed “health and safety” of Americans turns out to be merely godless cultural Marxism’s common mode of framing their warfare on the culture.
The hubris of two blue-state politicians, “chief law enforcement officers” calling for unconstitutional censorship of free speech in violation of First Amendment rights simply boggles the mind. With their thimbleful of scientific COVID knowledge, they themselves typically disseminate false information for the sole purpose of confusion and deception.
Since Attorney Generals Tong and James are government officials, they are, as U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas declared, legally barred from accomplishing “through threats of adverse government action what the Constitution prohibits [them] from doing directly.”6

Both AG Tong and AG James are the byproduct of an American education system that has been taken over by the incorrect ideology of Political Correctness, a derivative of cultural Marxism. Endless fulminations about racism, sexism, and homophobia clearly demonstrate that the pagan culture has been completely ensnared by Marxism’s idolatrous ideology and fringe worldview.
In line with cultural Marxist dogma, Tong and James insist that “... anti-vaxxers are using social media platforms to target people of color, and Black Americans specifically - communities suffering disproportionately from the virus, and whose rates of vaccination are already lagging.”
Segregating Americans - blacks, whites, Asians, Hispanics, et al. - appears to be a useful tool for the overthrow of the prevailing social order and the initiation of Marxism’s radical social revolution of gender confusion, truth reversal and glorification of iniquity.
In fact, cultural Marxism’s disciples just filled the vacuum left by American Christendom’s abandonment of the public square and the once Biblically based culture. By imposing its profane, godless ekklesia, Marxism destabilizes and disbands the culture, while American Christendom wordlessly takes shelter behind the four walls of the church building.
Proverbs 26:4-5 advises: “Do not answer a fool according to his folly, lest you become just like him. Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he is wise in his own eyes.”
While warning against responding to fools in kind - with insults, shouting, etc. - fools must nonetheless be challenged. If you don’t, as Jewish Hebrew scholar Michael V. Fox explains, “… he will assume that he has impressed, intimidated, or confounded you, and he will be even more obnoxious than usual.”
Old Testament scholar Dr. Bruce K. Waltke adds, “The rationale for answering a fool according to his folly is to avoid the negative consequence that the fool arrogantly replaces the Lord’s heavenly wisdom with his own. The wise person must expose the fool’s distortions to serve his own interests at the expense of the community and must not silently accept it and thereby contribute to establishing his topsy-turvy world against the rule of God.”
