To mark the celebration of Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy PHRA will highlight organizations in our region that are demonstrating the message of Dr. King Jr.

The legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. encompasses influential decisions, monumental actions, and steadfast progressions of humanitarian rights.  A leader of all people, Dr. King never chose fear, but always chose courage and determination when fighting for civil rights in the face of oppression, ignorance, and violence.   While King and other leaders generated momentous strides for equality, the push for civil rights remains a preeminent challenge today.  Dr. King’s legacy provides a staple model for how we combat inequality today.

Dr. King’s generation did their part. Now, it’s time to do ours.

Robert Half supports the communities where its employees live and work, and we spend many hours educating and supporting workforce development. The company encourages volunteerism within our communities and with our strategic diversity relationships, including Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Dress for Success®, EnactusTM and Junior Achievement USA®

We offer grants to local nonprofits, especially those with a focus on education and workforce development, and have a matching gifts program, which amplifies the financial contributions and volunteer efforts of our employees. Our employee network groups are created and led by employees from traditionally underrepresented groups. They unite staff members who share common interests, purpose and backgrounds, and members participate in fundraisers like virtual scavenger hunts and charity walks that support economic development as well as cooking events that promote food scarcity awareness.

Robert Half provides scholarships to support exceptional students and provide the next generation workforce a deeper understanding of what we do as a company, what our core values are, and how we can support awardees in their future careers.

The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) team provides scholarships to strategic diversity partners, and we also provide scholarships to members of industry associations and other organizations. Find out more about the organizations and programs Robert Half supports in our Corporate Citizenship Report.

Robert Half has forged strategic alliances and relationships with trade associations, such as the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA), to better serve the professionals in the fields we serve. We contribute to the mission of each trade organization by working together to develop thought leadership, webinars, training and development sessions, and hiring and job search resources for the members of these organizations.

As a result of these relationships, we are often called upon to help with the hiring or job search needs of the highly skilled members of these professional trade organizations, as well as working with universities and serving as mentors.

Lastly, through the Robert Half Veterans Initiative, we also assist veterans and their families with career resources, matching them with civilian positions.
