EASY YEAR-ROUND DONATIONS

LCA SCHOOL NEWS

FROM THE MUSIC DEPARTMENT

Hello Band Families!

Our first concert is coming up! It is October 26th at 6:00 in the gymnasium. This concert includes the sixth grade band, concert band (MS) and wind ensemble (HS). It is going to be a really great concert. Please feel free to invite the whole family.

Students should arrive ready to go at the following times; Wind ensemble 4:45, Concert band 5:00, and sixth grade 5:15. Doors for guests will open at 5:30. Please arrive as close to your call time as possible as I will be working with each group to get set up and ready to go.

The dress for each group is all black. Girls have the option to wear a dress/skirt and it should fall past their knees. If girls wish to wear pants that is okay as well.

Boys need to have a tie (black, white, or maroon), black slacks, and a black button down shirt. Boys that play saxophone do not have to wear a tie due to the neck strap. Boys also have the option of wearing a jacket or blazer. Black shoes and black socks are also required. If you are questioning something, send me a picture of it and we will discuss it. Leggings or sweatpants are not okay.

A Really Cool Opportunity!

Hey all band families! "The President's Own" US Marine band is touring the midwest region. On october 24th they will be at Hill Auditorium at U of M, and on October 25th they will be at Cobb Great Hall at MSU.

This is a really great opportunity to see and hear some amazing musicians. Both concerts have free general admission. If you are available to go I highly recommend it, it really is a great experience for everyone.
