BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT

At Hamlett Lavender Farm we focus on Plants, Products, and Purpose. We have a small lavender field that we use for You-Pick starting the 4th Saturday of June every year at our Annual Lavender Extravaganza!

Then, we harvest the rest and use it to make our products. We make Bath and body products, candles, crafts, and even lavender food products.

Our purpose is to educate others on lavender uses, advantages,

and health benefits.

We teach classes at the farm and in the public (libraries, senior centers,

schools, and more).

For the month of December every year, we open on the weekends at night for our Santa Lights Trail and Lavender Shed Shoppe. You can see all that is going on or order products on our website: hamlettlavenderfarm.com

PARENT SPOTLIGHT

Regina Hamlett

Regina Hamlett is a happily married wife, mother, small business owner and community volunteer. From the moment she met her husband Marty in February of 2021, she says they have always been by each other's side in business and in life.

When they married they became a blended family of 7. Regina brought to the marriage 4 daughters, and Marty; one son. The children range in age from 28 to 14 years.

All of their kids are now adults except for Regina's youngest daughter Amanda who is currently an 8th grader here at LCA.

Together, the couple own and operate the lavender farm that Regina started with

her mom in 2018, now named

Hamlett Lavender Farm.

The business has seen a lot of growth in the last few years. In addition to running the lavender farm, Marty works full time at Ford Motor Company in Livonia and Regina enjoys volunteering in the community.

Some of the boards and committees they participate with include:

Highway M-36 Rotary

PPHH Chamber

Dexter Township Committees

Western-Washtenaw Area Value Express Bus Board Treasurer (Regina)

Michigan Agritourism Association Board member (Regina)

Huron River Women in Business Community Group (Regina)

Director of Pinckney Farmers Market at Schell Family Farm (Regina)

Regina says her family loves being a part of Livingston Classical Academy.

"It's been the best year for Amanda so far and we are thankful for all who work and volunteer at the school!"
