A Word from the Interim Pastor
One of my favorite stories in the Gospels is when Jesus fed the multitudes from a young boy’s lunch. The disciples saw his meager offering and began to panic. Jesus, on the other hand, looked at the lunch and saw opportunity. He called the disciples to bring the fish and bread to him and he transformed it into enough for the entire crowd.

We can look at our own circumstances and start to worry to a point of non-action like the disciples. We give up, say it is no use, it can’t make a difference. Then when we put Jesus in the equation things change. Fish and bread begin to multiply, the hungry are fed, and needs are met. I invite you to offer yourself to Jesus and see what miraculous things happen in your life.

Blessings,
Rev. Renae

Thank You Rev. Craig
We want to say a great big "Thank You" to Rev. Craig Cranston for all he has contributed to King of Peace over the last 10 months. Rev. Craig helped our congregation through a difficult time of transition and we are forever grateful. He has been serving two churches and managing a law firm, so we understand his need to make this shift in his ministry. He will continue as Assistant Pastor at MCC Tampa and sharing their programming opportunities with King of Peace.

We are sad to see him go, but pray that God will continue to bless him and his ministry at MCC Tampa. We hope you'll join us in worship on Sunday, August 1st as we celebrate his last day with us as Pastor of Congregational Care and Programming. If you'd like to send words of encouragement and gratitude, please feel free to send him an email to RevCraig@churchstpetersburg.org or mail a card to the church office.
Upcoming Activities
We are collecting art supplies for ART 4 U. For 16 years now, King of Peace has provided donations for Art teachers in the Pinellas County School System...providing them items like colored pencils, markers, construction paper, crayons, rulers, paint supplies, glue, scissors, sketch books, etc... free of charge. You can bring them to church with you now through August 15th or bring them during the week from 10 am-2 pm. If you'd rather donate financially, just make sure your donation online or your check says ART 4 U in the memo line. If you have any questions, please email Dwayne Shepherd at colorthesoul@yahoo.com.
Join Jeremiah tonight at 7 pm on our Facebook page for a special time of THIRD Wednesday Worship. This is a virtual time of prayer, singing, and connecting to the Spirit...and can't we all use some of that from time to time.
You don't have to be Charles Wesley or Fanny J. Crosby to play...but you might need to know some of their hymns! Name That Tune-Hymn Edition takes place IN-PERSON on Thursday, July 22nd at 7 pm. We are in need of contestants and audience members. If you'd like to register, please click here.

If you can't join us in person, but would like to join virtually, you can do so by clicking here.
Sometimes we go about our routines without thinking about how or why we do and think and feel certain things. Join us Wednesday evenings at 7pm starting on July 28 as we explore faith through live action animation to introduce thought-provoking questions, explore ideas and concepts and gain perspectives on God, religion, the cross and many other topics.  To find out more information or to register, click here.
