COVID-19: BUSINESS RESOURCES

For several days, your Chamber team has been on hours of conference calls with County Executive Angela Alsobrooks, Congressman Anthony Brown, Senator Chris Van Hollen and Senator Ben Cardin. These substantive calls are providing direct access for securing resources during these difficult times. 

Below is a summary of these resources:
 
  •  SBA Disaster Loans: these loans, which will have a forbearance in the first year, are specifically for those small businesses that are suffering loss during COVID-19. These can be accessed through SBA by going to https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela

The Chamber, through our Capital Accelerator Program can provide assistance in meeting the loan's requirements.

Also, one of our members- Tisa Clark, President J.D. Clark Professional Services LLC , has completed the application and shared some important tips which are included here.

·            SBA Loan Deferment - for businesses that have SBA loans, SBA (during COVID-19) is offering deferments on their loans.

·          Governor Hogan -has announced some state assistance that you may find useful and, in yesterday’s press conference, the Governor announced some new operating guidelines for businesses. Click here for assistance. 
 
·          County Executive Alsobrooks - the County Executive, in her recent press conference, hinted at a County Grant Fund for small businesses. 
The Chamber will monitor this development and certainly offer help on framing this Grant. 
 
·          Continued Advocacy - your Chamber is working with Federal legislators on the 3rd Federal COVID-19 Stimulus Package specifically on ensuring that small businesses receive resources to stay afloat. 


I realize this is a lot to take in, however, the Chamber wants to make sure that you have every program at your fingertips. The Chamber continues to be an advocate for your business maintenence & restoration.
