1.Oklahoma Expands Vaccination to Include Grocery Workers -Ardmore, Duncan and Paul's Valley Homeland Pharmacies currently have vaccines, with more Homeland sites being added. Ask your store manager, and check for your local Homeland Pharmacy when booking your vaccination; www.bookacovidvaccine.com.
2.Attention Texas Essential Workers! - Texas hasn't yet prioritized grocery workers and we have an outlet for you to share in your own words the need for grocery workers to be prioritized. If you are a Texas grocery worker & have been vaccinated, please share a little bit about your experience for the benefit of others as well. Do you have 60-90 seconds to spare to help us keep grocery and food workers on Governor Abbott's radar?
3.Virtual Care via Teladoc - Members enrolled in health & welfare are still eligible to receive medical care digitally via Teladoc. Using this service, members have access to doctors, therapists and medical experts by phone or video. Watch the video to see how a virtual appointment with board certified doctors would work. With 90% approval - it is worth checking out!

Workers called to an investigatory interview/meeting with management, which they reasonably believe may lead to discipline, are entitled to union representation. To invoke this right, read the following word for word:

"If this discussion, meeting or telephone call could in any way be related to my being disciplined or terminated or affect any of my working conditions, I exercise my federal rights and hereby request that my union representative or shop steward be present. Without their presence, I choose not to participate in this discussion or meeting. Please do not request that I waive this right."

KEEPING OUR UFCW BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN MIND
Your Brothers & Sisters at Kroger in Houston continue to work without a new contract. As of January that meant they also had their health & welfare switched to Kroger's "K-plan." Hear in their own words what it has meant for them and their families.

In Arkansas members voted (92% of clerks & 86% of meat) to reject a Last, Best & Final contract proposal from Kroger. We will keep up to date, but you can also visit their website directly.
