Competition is heating up
It may not be Spring yet, but the housing market is already starting to heat up. We are hearing stories of double digit showings and multiple offers over asking price. That's great news for anyone with a house to sell. However, the key to a quick sale is pricing it right! The buyers in Denver (and all along the Front Range) are ready to play ball. In fact, they have to be ready, because  Denver is expected to be the most competitive housing market in the country in 2019 .  This might have something do with the fact that  so many people are moving here , despite our relatively expensive housing costs. That's good news now, but remember that the frenzy fades by July and comes to a screeching halt in the Fall.  
More Airbnb regulation
Add the City of Littleton to the list of communities currently debating how to regulate short-term rentals within its city limits . But it's not just Littleton, discussions are also under way in Colorado Springs, Summit County and pretty much every city in Metro Denver. They are not debating IF to regulate, but HOW to regulate. The general trend has been to limit licenses to only owner-occupied homes. Basically, cities do not want investors running businesses within neighborhoods. (They prefer to let amateurs do it small-scale and unprofessionally...) If this impacts your business, make sure you are contributing to the debate by contacting your city council members.
