LTAP Team presents 'Cornucopia' of training, tailgate talk at the LTC 2020
At theLouisiana Transportation Conference held on March 1-4, the Louisiana LTAP team presented at a session on "Cornucopia: Going Local" which covered some of the training strategies and tools that local public agencies could use to deliver a more interactive training, including how to conduct an effective "tailgate talk". The session wrapped up with an engaging simulation of a work zone scenario with basic flagging.
With Nick Verrett as Instructor, the full-day course provided basic information on construction and maintenance of locally owned roads, aimed at helping agency personnel to better manage and operate their road networks.
This training will take a detailed look at Sections 1, 2, 3, and 5 of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. This will be a great opportunity for participants to get a good understanding of the requirements of these sections.
