Malvern Dowsers    v20

Workshop at Hellens Manor Garden - a fun day out

Sue Watts-Cutler

Once again Malvern Dowsers enjoyed a fine day at Hellens Manor Garden, sampling a number of dowsing related activities led by experienced Malvern Dowsers members, plus our special guest, Gwynn Paulett from Devon Dowsers.

The day was arranged to allow everyone to experience the various activities on offer starting with Gwynn describing how a labyrinth is produced using the seed pattern. Gwynn dowsed for the goal of the labyrinth and the appropriate orientation and worked with Keiran to mow the complex shape into the grass, so that after lunch everyone could experience a meditative walk and the energies created by this sacred symbol.

Meanwhile Dave Strang demonstrated how earth energies flowing through the new stone circle could be enhanced by the simple act of blessing, which is a technique developed by American Dowser, Joey Korn.

John Collins guided participants on an interactive walk in the druidic tradition around the many ancient trees in the garden, while Sue led hands-on sessions of energetic healing to rebalance chakras with flowers and patch up thinned areas of the human aura with fern fronds.

Kate Smart investigated whether the land at Hellens continues to be enchanted by connecting with nature spirits to establish their level of contentment, and the underlying resonance set up by music and chanting, past and present.

‘Learn to Dowse’ events at the National Trust property, Hidcote Manor Garden

Hidcote Manor Garden is an iconic location with stunning views over the Cotswold edge. Designed by Lawrence Johnson as a series of garden rooms, this garden is now owned by the National Trust and appeals to anyone that loves colour and contrast through the seasons.

During August Malvern Dowsers will be running a number of learn-to- dowse sessions to attract a slightly different audience. With the help of the National Trust Events Coordinator, the sessions will be run in specially roped off areas enabling the general public to view the demonstrations without distracting the beginners’ concentration. In September there will be a number of ‘Progressive’ classes to explore beyond dowsing for water. Bookings are through the National Trust website.

University of the Third Age ‘Learn to Dowse’ classes

For a number of years Malvern Dowsers has been running classes for groups of enthusiastic and committed beginners and novices. Dowsing ‘ticks all the boxes’ for many U3A members offering a fascinating hobby for people with more time on their hands. It particularly appeals to the curious minded and many quite intellectual conversations ensue after participants find earth energies or water lines below the ground for the first time. It’s great fun and brings new people into our dowsing community.

Our next indoor meeting

Peter Knight and Sue Wallace will be our speakers, and drummers, at our usual venue at Christ Church Hall, Avenue Road, Malvern on Wednesday 21st September 7pm for 7.30 start. All welcome!

A fine endeavour.

Electrosmog

Dowsing Today recently carried an excellent report by Guy Hudson on the subject of Electrosmog, showing that the term has entered the vocabulary of sentient beings on the Clapham Omnibus, (and the 2.30 from Heathrow to Zambia on Village Water expeditions to locate the wet stuff. )

Those familiar with the mysteries of the New (German) Homeopathy know that a symbol to screen out electrosmog was developed by Erich Korbler, and displayed in his office. This is referred to in the three main books dealing with the New Homeopathy (Painting the Energy Body; Healing with Information; and Remote Healing) all now mercifully available in English.

The symbol is also shown above.

One of the reasons for mentioning this again, is that the New Homeopathy

relies heavily on the dowsing facility for both the identification of the type of problem the client is experiencing, and also for the nature of the intervention which will bring relief from that condition.

The dowsing tool which is used for both of the above investigations is the single armed dowsing rod which Korbler designed.  What we would call a bobber.

When confronted with a medical condition, or the choice of intervention, the tip of the Bobber - usually emphasised by the addition a small wooden ball - moves in one of eight identifiable ways, thus enabling the  identification of the severity of the condition, or the choice of intervention.

There are many forms of complimentary medicine, but few (apart from dowsing itself as a form of  intervention) which so heavily rely on dowsing.

If you are interested in exploring the New Homeopathy, please get in touch with Info@CedJackson.org

L Rods, V Rods, and C Rods

We are all familiar with L Rods, and most of us with V Rods, but the C Rod is less well known.

This is a great shame as it especially useful for people learning to dowse, as it is much easier than other tools with which to get the correct pitch/balance.

The rod is held by the vertical section, which is ideally within a sleeve to facilitate free turning movement.

The C rod is not commonly available, so if you have the chance to obtain one, please do !

Special Interest Groups

The great strength of dowsing in the UK is that it includes the work of networks of dowsers devoted to a particular topic.

These groupings include ...

     D-FEST

    The Dowsing Research Group

    Earth Energies Reignited

The International Association of Health Dowsers

    Water Divining Special Interest Group

    The Spirituality Special Interest Group

The groups vary in levels of activity, name, the way they are organised, and whether or not they are affiliated to the BSD.

In their own words, the groups' activities include...

D-FEST

The Dowsing Research Group

Please see the website at Dowsingresearch.org

Earth Energies Re-Ignited

The special interest groups formed a very important part of The British Society of Dowsers. They not only catered for the experienced dowser, but were also there to help those starting out on the journey.

The focus of the recently established Earth Energies Reignited group is to continue that important work.

Earth energies affect us all in so many different ways, from geopathic stress, to the energising of many of the sacred sites around the world. They are continuously changing, partly due to the affect of human consciousness and at other times because of man’s physical interaction with the planet.

It is the aim of the group to hold at least two meetings a year, bringing a variety of experienced speakers together incorporating a range of practical dowsing sessions over the weekends.

The group is headed by Adrian Incledon-Webber, who ran the Earth Energies and Healing Groups for the BSD. He is also a past Vice-President.

He can be reached via email: adrian@dowsingspirits.co.uk

Water Divining Special Interest Group

Water divining/dowsing is always in demand but we have few people willing to take up the fascinating challenges it presents.

Due to various past problems with the BSD, it was decided to run a separate organisation, which is the professionaldowsersregister.co.uk

It is made up of people with proven ability who charge proper fees for the services that they offer. Some are in the BSD and others are not . There are also one or two others out there who could probably be included but for various reasons prefer not to apply.

We do not have anyone with the time to start a BSD SIG group for water, So, if someone wants to volunteer please step forward. We could do with some help.

The Spirituality Special Interest Group

The SSIG is a virtual group that meets once a month on Zoom and although our membership is geographically dispersed we feel very connected through similar experiences of a spiritual kind. It’s not a religious group and it’s free to join because members are generous in sharing their own experiences as they follow a spiritual path. Our members are not exclusively from the dowsing community but dowsing/divining (in all forms) is often one of the tools that enables enlightenment or connection to a consciousness beyond our own.

The group is a place to share your thoughts and experiences and to see that you are not alone in questioning or searching for answers and sometimes we find them in another’s reflections. The membership is multitalented and each month we hear about a different topic as people share their own insights and wisdom. Our varied discussions have been around the mysteries of Mithraism, sightings of gnomes, energy viewing and the fool's journey. We don’t record our meetings so being present is more than just a description of your awareness!

Join us to connect with yourself, others and all there is…
