Sad news I am afraid. As you may be aware Linda has been on a diving holiday in Scotland for the last week or so. This was one of the high spots of her year. Unfortunately on Thursday morning Linda went missing whilst diving with her friends, which started a large scale search. The marine and coastguard authorities, local fishermen and the police have all been involved in a wide ranging search to no avail.
Linda’s daughter has been overwhelmed by the support from Linda’s friends and our fellow dowsers in trying to locate her whereabouts. Sadly this morning the police divers were going to the spot where she was last seen by her diving friends to try and retrieve a body. Thank you if you have been involved in trying to trace Linda or in sending your love to her daughter and family at this very difficult time. Hopefully later today there will be further news but it now seems very unlikely that Linda will be found alive.
As dowsers we know that this of course is not the end of Linda’s journey and that she continues to be that loving friend and caring colleague we value so much.
On Monday at Malvern Dowsers' Priory Park event we will hopefully have some other news to convey to those present and it may be appropriate to observe a few moments of reflection and personal memories of Linda. It seems fitting that this event will be especially focused on dowsing for water.

There is still no positive news of Linda's whereabouts.
To contact the authorities involved in a search for missing people the best route is probably initially to call 999.
It is important not to distract the authorities from the search they are undertaking, but if you feel that you have relevant information...
Discover from 999 the phone number and email address of the relevant agency.
(For example, in Scotland the search for Linda has been undertaken by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency)
You may wish to preface your information with the following material...
'Hello
I am calling/writing about the current search for ______
I know/do not know _______ personally, but I am a dowser (as in the search for water for farmers, etc) and some dowsers are able to identify the location of missing people, remotely, by dowsing.
My information regarding the current search for ______ is that (......)
My contact details are ....'
I suggest that this wording be edited in line with your suggestions and could be used as a general foreword to communications from dowsers to authorities regarding missing people.
Best wishes
