In these balmy summer days, wildlife enthusiasts can often spot gatherings of the lesser spotted dowser at garden festivals and other outdoor events, informing people of the latest fascinating developments in the exciting field of forked sticks.
You may find it of interest that Wilko ~ perhaps unwittingly ~ is supporting the dowsing cause through their marketing of the following two items.
Plant Supports
These make exceedingly fine L Rods, in a rather fetching green. In fact they are rather like a cross between an L Rod and a U rod (held horizontally).
Prices are £6.50 or £7.50 for the slightly longer (61 cm) version, for a pack of 10 ! They are ideal for the more robust dowser, or for the two fisted beginner. I am sure they could be cut to size
.
Copper Clothes Hangers
... are also available, at £3 for 10 ! Each coat hanger can be cut into
two
L rods of 9" by 4.5", incidentally leaving over a single straight section of just over 6" with which you can start constructing a scale model of Salisbury Cathedral. I use a bolt cutter from Wickes.
Learn How to Dowse
Now this is all very well (I hear you saying) but what people really need is a quick guide they can take away and use to practice with at home.
You are absolutely right, and that is why I have made available the following how-to-dowse guides, covering the use of...
The L Rod
The Pendulum
The Wand (or Bobber), and
The V Rod
Just drop me an email and I will supply them to you.
