Horse Show Ventures Selects Local Equestrian Ellie Williams To Compete at the USHJA National Affiliate Championship
Alpharetta, GA, August 28, 2019 - Horse Show Ventures, an Atlanta area local horse show association, is pleased to announce the selection of Ellie Williams, age 15, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia as the organization's representative competitor for the United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA) Affiliate National Championships.

The  USHJA  is the US Equestrian-recognized national affiliate for the Hunter and Jumper disciplines. The  USHJA  is a competition-based sport organization that serves members through educational programs, awards and recognition, communication and rules. As an Affiliate Association member of the USHJA, Atlanta based hunter/jumper horse show association, Horse Show Ventures, may select and send two competitors to participate in this prestigious national championship event. Ms. Williams will compete on her horse Finale in the 2'6" Hunter Section at the Affiliate National Championships. She will compete against other USHJA Affiliate selected riders from across the country.

The USHJA Affiliate Championships will take place at the Las Vegas National Horse show, CS13*-W, November 11-17 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Ellie has been riding and competing in horse shows since she was a small child. She trains under her mother, Tatum Williams, owner and trainer at Rolling Ridge Farm, Tunnel Hill Georgia. Outside of her studies, Ellie devotes her time to working on the 100+ acre equestrian farm in northern Georgia. As the trainer's daughter, Ellie often helps out with the younger riders at Rolling Ridge and always with the care of the horses and farm chores. Ellie and her Mom are always acquiring young horses for Ellie to train and show.

Most recently, Ellie has successfully competed in the equitation and hunter divisions at Horse Show Ventures' Georgia Hunter Jumper Association locally rated horse show series. Ellie says her favorite thing about competing in horse shows "is training and showing her young horses and seeing their improvement, along with the bonus of making new friends from different areas".

Horse Show Ventures' founder and president, Morgan Taylor, remarks "As a local horse show organization, we are thrilled for our members to have the chance to participate in a national level horse show like the USHJA Affiliate National Championships. At the Championships, young, local level riders will get to witness top equestrian athletes from around the world competing at the Las Vegas National Horse Show."

Atlanta is renown for its thriving equestrian community. Equestrian competitions of all disciplines and rating levels are held every weekend at area equestrian venues, such as Wills Park Equestrian Center, Alpharetta, GA, Georgia International Horse Park, Conyers, GA, and Chattahoochee Hills Eventing Facility, Fairburn, GA. These events are free for spectators and offer a great chance to learn about equestrian sport while watching competitors of all ages. Equestrian sport is a lifelong activity with many riders starting to compete as early as age five, sometimes even younger.

Horse Show Ventures is an affiliate member of the United States Equestrian Federation, the United States Hunter Jumper Association, and the Georgia Hunter Jumper Association. The Georgia Hunter Jumper Association is one of the largest state hunter/jumper associations in the country and is considered a leader in delivering quality, local level hunter/jumper competitions.
