Our 2019 Campaign Launch
On September 18th, we launched our 2019 Campaign with over 200 of our friends and announced our goal of $1.75M.
We love where we live. Yes, there are problems. You, can be part of the solution. Want to learn more? Watch our official 2019 Campaign Video with Campaign Chair, David Goyette. Film Credit: Film Kelly
We are once again partnering with The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul Peterborough’s thrift store, Vinnies, for the one-day fall collection of Coats For Kids on Saturday, October 5, 2019. We are asking for freshly washed or new winter Coats For Kids and Adults too!

We are pleased to produce this annual research report looking at the impact of housing costs and their impact on families. Some of the highlights from this year include:

  • Peterborough has the highest rent “core housing need” rate of any Census Metropolitan Area across the country.
  • A dramatic rise in average market rents year over year, with two bedroom units up by 9 per cent and three bedroom units up by 11 per cent

Care. Hope. Vote! Peterborough, was launched September 10, 2019 by 19 community groups as an innovative on-line and in-person initiative to highlight social issues in Peterborough City and County during the 2019 Federal election.

The goals of the initiative are to increase awareness of social issues and their local importance; to support a positive reason to vote; and to provide practical information and support related to the voting process.
