Grandmothers' Circle on "Residential Schools"
Friday, August 6, 2021
9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
As we all learn more about the impacts of Indian Residential Schools on communities and on individuals across the nation, many are looking for ways they can not only educate themselves on the issue but also for resources on how they can be an informed ally.
Join ARPA virtually on August 6 for the Grandmothers' Circle on "Residential Schools". Sit with four multi-nation Elders as they share insights into the impacts of Residential schools and ways that we can all start processing the trauma that has come with both learning about, and experiencing, this difficult part of Canada's history.
We will be joined by: Elders Edmee Comstock (Specialist in Métis history), Rose Crowshoe (Blackfoot Traditional Knowledge Keeper and Ceremonialist), Doreen Healy (Blackoot Educator on the Residential Schools), and Kerrie Moore (Cree/Métis Intergenerational Trauma/Grief Specialist).
