An 8-week interactive group program where participants learn skills to increase communication, better understand themselves and take responsibility for their roles within various forms of interpersonal relationships.

NEW PILOT PROGRAM:
Moving on with Persistent Pain
|
|
We are pleased to present Moving On With Persistent Pain, a free 8-week program to help you learn how to better manage chronic pain. Interactive weekly sessions focus on the mind-body connection and lifestyle factors to help develop a skill set for those living with persistent pain. Topics covered include: exercise, activity pacing, fatigue management, nutrition, sleep, medication, grief, stress, relaxation skills, mindfulness and coping strategies.

The Bow Valley PCN & Town of Canmore launched Food From Home, a program encouraging Bow Valley residents to take growing food into their own hands while taking advantage of our beautiful Rocky Mountain climate.

The Bow Valley Good Food Box (GFB) is a monthly assortment of fresh produce representing local, seasonal and organic when possible.
The content varies each month based on seasonal availability and pricing. Please note there are no choices/replacement items.

This program is accessible to all Bow Valley residents. Subsidized prices are available to low income individuals and individuals financially affected by COVID-19.

Bow Valley Pharmacies:
Over 1,300 Alberta-based pharmacies are providing COVID-19 immunization with either Moderna or Pfizer vaccines. To find out where you can get vaccinated visit www.ab.bluecross.ca. Bow Valley pharmacies offering vaccines are listed on the PCN website.

COVID-19 Testing in the Bow Valley
Bow Valley residents with access to personal transportation should visit ahs.ca to complete an online COVID-19 screening questionnaire. If eligible for testing, then the patient will be advanced to an online schedule to book an appointment.

Tumultuous. That seems like a reasonable word to describe the last 18 months since COVID-19 disrupted our lives. Our habits and routines shifted in response to changes around us. For many of us, our bodies changed as well. I’m sure we’re all familiar with the Freshman-15, but Quarantine-19, that seems new. According to a report by Agrifoods Analytics Lab at Dalhousie University, 42.3% of Canadians unintentionally gained weight during the pandemic.

Bow Valley Stroke Support Group Meeting
Have you experienced a stroke? This is an opportunity to join forces with other stroke survivors: to find a space for each of us to offer encouragement, share experience and support along the long journey of recovery. This meeting is one of fellowship, education and we share our action plans.
