For over 25 years we have been the leaders in Local Labour Market information and data dissemination in the Hamilton region.
Workforce Planning Hamilton has created a report to provide an update on the state of the local labour market in 2023-2024 and reflect on local trends and changes.

With the shortage of 8,500 ECEs anticipated by 2026 in Ontario, ECEs are crucial to a healthy education sector.

Ramadan: Hamilton Statistics | |
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar and lasts either 29 or 30 days, depending on when the new crescent moon is, or should be, visible. Ramadan is a period of fasting & spiritual growth. It is one of the five pillars of Islam – the others being the declaration of faith, daily prayer, alms-giving, and the pilgrimage to Mecca.
As of 2021, Hamilton’s (CMA) Muslim population totaled 46,435. Of this, majority identified as first generation. The majority of the Muslim population in Hamilton were Immigrants (65%). Muslim Newcomers to Hamilton have increased tenfold from 2016 to 2021 compared to before 1980.

Accessibility Navigation to Employment Program (ANTE) Virtual Event | |
Please join the ANTE team on Tuesday, March 26th, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. to learn valuable insights and best practices for creating inclusive workplaces.
City School by Mohawk College and the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association (CHHA) are thrilled to announce its upcoming virtual event, through its Accessible Navigation to Employment (ANTE) Program, focused on fostering accessibility for employees with diverse abilities.
Why Attend?
The ANTE Virtual Event is a unique opportunity to learn and implement strategies that promote inclusivity, support employees with diverse abilities, and create a more accessible work environment for everyone. Participants will gain insights into the latest technologies, best practices in accommodation, and practical solutions to foster an inclusive workplace culture for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Canadians.

Mastering Mathematics Program | |
Mastering Mathematics Program is open for Spring Registration.
The Mastering Mathematics Program is a free tutoring program designed to assist newcomer children in grades 2-10 who are dealing with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or other mental health issues impacting their learning. To attend the program, you are not required to have an official diagnosis from a clinician - we accept all children with learning difficulties including suspected or diagnosed both.
This program will specifically focus on teaching mathematics, covering essential areas such as number sense and numeration, patterning and algebra, and mathematical applications. The sessions are scheduled to run from April 15 to June 13, 2024.
