SPOTLIGHT
Local Roads Program Announced
The proposed 2022 local road construction plan was presented to the Township Board at the January 25 meeting. The 2022 plan includes 6.84 miles of rehabilitation work, as well as 3.74 miles of cape seal work.

Okemos Road Bridge Replacement
The Ingham County Road Department will be replacing the two existing Okemos Road bridges over the Red Cedar River this year. The Southbound lane detour will begin February 14.


Okemos Consolidated Drain Work
The Ingham County Drain Commissioner has been petitioned to make drainage improvements to the Okemos Consolidated Drain. A house will be demolished in the coming weeks as part of the project.

Black History Month Resolution
The Township Board approved a Resolution of Support commemorating Black History Month for 2022. The Township pays tribute to the generations of African Americans, and celebrates their accomplishments.
'No Shave November' a Success
The Meridian Police Department's "No Shave November" fundraiser, extended through December 2021, raised $2,925 for the Meridian Cares Emergency Needs Fund.
