March 2016
8-year-old Wolf Cub Scout, Sean Nichols from Edgewood, Ky., of Pack 3775, was selected to travel to our nation’s capital to present the 2015 Report to the Nation.

Within 2 years of joining the Scouts, Sean earned 25 academic belt loops, 8 academic pins, 13 sports belt loops, 2 sports pins, and 16 other awards. He also led a school-wide effort to raise funds to help other kids with transverse myelitis, a rare neuro-immune disorder that caused him a spinal cord injury as a baby.

Voice of the Scout Survey
You may receive a survey from the National Office of the Boy Scouts of America by email on March 1, 2016 and will have until March 15, 2016 to complete it.  This survey, the “Voice of the Scout”, is not only collectively important for one of our Journey to Excellence metrics, but also provides valuable feedback about our Scouting programs.  We ask that you please take a moment to complete this short survey
You spoke and we’ve listened.  This year, the whole Pack can attend Cub Camp and still choose their own unique adventure.  The Outdoor Masters and STEM programs were both huge hits last year.  But this year, rather than having to choose one up front, both programs are being offered during every week of Cub Camp.  Make sure to get your Pack signed up ASAP to take advantage of leader discounts and free slushies!  Check out the video and get more info at:
Camp Friedlander is offering Scouts the opportunity to participate in programs at the new Summit Bechtel Reserve National High Adventure Base!  Yes, that’s right.  Attend Camp Friedlander with your unit, but spend Monday-Friday experiencing the all of the excitement and high adventure activities at the Summit.  What an opportunity!
Working as patrols, this hands-on course provides adult leaders the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in the out-of-doors. Upon completion, leaders should feel comfortable teaching Scouts the basic skills required to obtain the First Class rank. This course is required of all direct contact leaders registered in Boy Scout Troops and Varsity Scout Teams, in order to be considered "trained".  For more information please visit:
Packs can add to the excitement of Archery and BB by reserving Range time at Cub World.  Having one, or more, adults in the Pack trained to be a rangemaster in Archery and/or BB Guns makes it easier teach the scouts how to shoot.
