Good Afternoon Port City Seafood Fanatics,
Its been a tough few weeks here in Wilmington for live blue crabs as you have heard us complain about in these emails. This being said we have good and bad news. The bad news is we still aren't catching them, but the good news is we bought some nice fat hard shell shell blue crabs from a fisherman North of us! We don't know how long this run will last, so if you've been waiting for crabs come out this weekend!
If you aren't up for steaming crabs, we have a solid local fish variety for your dinner tables this weekend. If you haven't tried Tilefish yet we are cutting these fish off the bone as I type. These fish are similar to Grouper, and are sure to please. In addition, we will have NC Flounder, Atlantic Salmon, NC Monkfish and more.
Also, just a note to all you Oyster lovers out there this will be the last weekend we have Wild NC oysters until October 15. We won't have many to sell, so come early if you want that last local Oyster fix for the year.
Lastly, after a week's hiatus we will have Live LA Crawfish back in the store Saturday morning, so its a great weekend to do a Crawfish/Blue Crab boil!
We will also have plenty of our staple seafood products: NC Clams, Mid Atlantic Jumbo Sea Scallops, Snow Crab Legs, Lobster tails and more this weekend.
