Every morning at 9am Kate and Greg would update our Somerset 106 Facebook followers on the status of the duck nest in the station landscaping. There was joy...and laughter...and then a skunk...and then tears...and then joy again! Follow the link below to watch the series.

July 7th - MMF Takeover on The Set List with Tiffany Finley, Carrie Altmaier, & Julie Harris | In this Master Musicians Festival 30th Anniversary special interview, Kate was joined by MMF Executive Director, Tiffany Finley; MMF Board President, Julie Harris; and Carrie Altmaier who has been heavily involved with MMF for the past 30 years. Nearly ALL of musicians who performed at this years festival were from Kentucky, including the festival headliner, Wynonna Judd. In the interview, you'll hear all about the musicians, the activities available for kids at the festival, and about some BRAND NEW ADDITIONS, the food available, this years special MMF Brew, and the special things the organization is doing outside of the festival. July 13, 14 & 15, 2023 - Master Musician's Festival 30th Anniversary | The 30th Anniversary of the Master Musician's Festival was one for the history books! A record breaking 7,800 people are said to have attended! Amy Stroud was invited to be a panelist for the RAB and the "Radio Works for Healthcare" initiative. The presentation included Kyle Shaw, senior account executive, Cumulus Media in Indianapolis, Indiana, and Amy Stroud, senior vice president, Forcht Broadcasting Radio & Digital.
The Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) is the not-for-profit trade association representing America's broadcast radio industry. The RAB serves more than 6,000 member stations in the U.S. and more than 1,000 member networks, representative firms, broadcast vendors, and international organizations.

Bernie Kerns joined Amy to talk about the new Grief Share class that will began on August 1st and runs through October 31st. The class meets once a week at First Christian Church in Somerset.
Grief Share focuses on bringing together people who have lost loved ones, so they can share their grief experiences and talk about their shared losses. If you would like to be a part of the next Grief Share class, call 606-678-5903.
