Consider This Before You Purchase a Vacant Lot
Buying a new modular home is always exciting! But, before you start designing your new home, you'll have to consider some things. Things like the location of your new home, and more importantly, the land it will sit on.

When looking at potential lots to build your home on, there's no shortage of factors to consider. TheBalance.com and HowStuffWorks.com have published some informative articles to help you find the perfect lot for your new home.

These articles focus on topics like:
  • Availability of Utility services
  • What communication services are offered (Phone, Internet, Etc.)
  • Access to the land
  • Zoning restrictions
  • Surveying & much more!

Even though these articles touch on Homeowners Associations (HOA) and Architectural Review Boards (ARB), they don't discuss the hurdles modular homes face. Unfortunately, some HOAs and ARBs have restrictions concerning modular construction. Be sure to check with any of these organizations before buying property in their area.
