THE CITY OF SHORELINE
Shoreline offers classic Puget Sound beauty and the convenience of suburban living with the attractions of nearby urban opportunities. The community of just over 53,000 is located a few miles north of Seattle. As its name would suggest, Shoreline skirts the waters of Washington's inland sea and stretches almost to Lake Washington. The city officially became incorporated in 1955 and features highly developed business areas along Highway 99, one of the region's primary north-south travel routes. In addition to Shoreline's commercial areas, it is also home to natural beauty, from the waters of the Puget Sound, to beautifully manicured public spaces, such as the Kruckeberg Botanical Garden.
