As the State enters it's next reopening phase the Mansfield Community Center and Parks and Recreation Department continues to follow the recommendations of our State and Local Health Departments and the CDC to keep you and your loved ones safe. We are glad to announce some updates, including limited locker room access, updated sign-ups, and more. Continue to check our website and watch for e-mail updates. Additional details on reopening policies, procedures, and modifications to programs, activities, and Center access will be released as needed through e-mails and website postings. SIGN-UPS
UPDATED SIGN-UP PROCESS
There will be NO CHANGES to Sign-Up procedures this Friday. Sign-ups will open at approximately 12 p.m. on Friday, October 2nd for the week of Monday, October 5th through MONDAY, October 12th.
Beginning Monday, October 5th, Sign-Ups will transition to ROLLING REGISTRATION.

We've heard your concerns and have a plan.

How does this work?
Sign-ups will be viewable and available eight days in advance. The "eight-day" window is calculated by the actual time of the sign-up slot (a 5:55 a.m. slot will be visible at 5:55 a.m. eight days in advance, a 9 a.m. slot becomes visible at 9 a.m., and so on). Slots for Mondays will be visible two Sundays prior, slots for Tuesdays will become visible two Mondays prior, etc. On Monday, October 5th, times for Tuesday, October 13th will become visible.

Stay informed of schedules (available here) for the best result, and know you may be checking the sign-in more frequently depending on how often you plan to visit the gymnasium, pools, or fitness.

Advance drop-off or call-in of sign-up requests will NOT be permitted. Please plan accordingly to be available to sign-up through the SignUpGenius app or website, or to call in your request after your desired slot becomes available. Customer Service Staff will NOT accept requests in advance of sign-up times becoming visible, and cannot guarantee sign-up of any slot. Customer Service Representatives cannot view or book sign-ups any earlier than members. Calling in does not guarantee a slot.

MAIN POOL SLOT REVISIONS
We continue to work to improve schedules and access to our very busy pools.

Starting October 5th the Main Pool schedule will offer a limited number of shared lap swim lanes, and will have specific lap swim and general swim times.

Don't be surprised -
know what you're signing up for based on these slot titles:
Lap Swim Slots (no general use permitted):
Lap swim is designed for more organized swimming up and down the length of the pool repeatedly, for people who are exercising on their own.

  • Shared Lap Lane - SHALLOW ENTRY - Each lap swimmer must book this lane type independently. NO general use will be permitted. This lane designation is for one swimmer with shallow end entry into the Main Pool. The lane will be shared with a non-related swimmer who has selected "Deep Entry". Lane assignments will be based on arrival times. Swimmers may be asked to change lanes during workouts based on swim pace if deemed necessary by guards.

  • Shared Lap Lane - DEEP ENTRY - Same as above, but you'll be getting in the pool in the deep end!

  • Single/Couple Lap Lane - This is a LAP swim lane only to be used by a single swimmer who does NOT desire shared lane use. Pairs requesting a shared lane may also reserve this slot; additional member name must be listed in the comments. If a pair does not reside together, shallow and deep entry will apply.

General Swim Slots:
  • General Use Lane - This lane time is designated for SINGLE swimmers or PAIRS who reside together desiring general swim access. Lap swimming is NOT required in this lane designation. Additional member name must be listed in the comments. Max two household members.

  • Family Use Lane - This lane designation is for FAMILY use by two to five members who reside together. Lap swimming is NOT required in this lane designation. Additional member names must be listed in the comments. Max five household members.

SOCIAL DISTANCING is required of facility users. Follow signage for traffic patterns throughout the facility.

HEALTH ASSESSMENTS will be given to all members and staff at each visit during the check-in process. This will include a temperature screening and brief list of questions. Members should self-screen at home prior to each reservation. If you are unwell or are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, do not come to the Community Center. Center access will only be permitted upon successful completion of the Center's health screening assessment. Use of hand sanitizer is required upon entry into the facility.

CLEANING AND DISINFECTING is increased and intensified throughout the facility. Employees will clean all equipment frequently and members must wipe down equipment before and after each use with provided products and materials that meet EPA and CDC guidelines for use against COVID-19. Each area will be closed twice daily for full area deep cleaning and disinfecting. A third deep cleaning and disinfection will occur in the evening when the facility is closed to the public.

WATER FOUNTAINS are closed. Please bring your own water bottle. Water bottle refill stations may be used for refill of personal water bottles only.
