Logistics Plus Millennials Featured on WPSE Business Spotlight
Ryan Markiewicz, Moustafa Elhadary, Megan Stetz, and Kayla Frost were featured in a recent airing of Business Spotlight on WPSE AM 1450/FM 107.1 Radio. Business Spotlight is a 30-minute program airing Fridays at noon. Each segment focuses on a business or organization that is making an impact across the region.
Kelly Dempsey Presented with an LP Hero Award
Jim Berlin, founder and CEO of Logistics Plus, presented our very own Kelly Dempsey with an LP Hero Award yesterday. Kelly – an international manager for imports – selflessly donated one of her kidneys to her father in order to save his life. Kelly is a true hero and inspiration to all of us!
Logistics Plus Teamwork On Full Display for Recent Projects
In February 2019, Patric Drewes and Sandra Dinklage visited a new client to introduce the new Logistics Plus Project GmbH team. Not long after, Logistics Plus was awarded two projects from this client, both of which were bale finishing systems weighing about 200 freight tons each. From morning to night, the LP Project Cargo team successfully handled and delivered both projects.

Logistics Plus is proud to announce that we now have five employees on-site at the Waldrich plant in Coburg, Germany. Waldrich Coburg GmbH is an industrial manufacturing company that makes precision machine tools, some of which weigh more than 250 tons!

On September 25th, CMA CGM, one of the largest container shipping companies in the world, launched the CMA CGM Jacques Saade. This ship is the worlds largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) powered container ship in the history of maritime transport. Logistics Plus is proud to have contributed and played a very small part in this great step forward to make eco-friendly shipping a reality.
Global Trade Alert: China Tariffs Scheduled to Increase
In early September, President Trump announced that he was delaying plans to impose an additional 5 percent duty on more than $250 billion worth of Chinese goods. The section 301 China tariffs is now scheduled to increase from 25% to 30% on October 15th. The increase in tariffs is for lists 1-3 only.
Logistics Plus Provides Ocean Tracking for 1-Year Sailing Trip
Bon voyage! Pieter Jan De Smedt, a very close friend of Frederik Geirnaert (global project manager for the Logistics Plus Project Cargo Division) is embarking on a one (1) year sailing adventure around the world in a Catana 401 named Vite & Rêves. The crew, a family of five, departed Lavrion, Greece late September with the intentions of ending their journey in Darwin, Australia next July.
