Logistics Plus has created a new, dedicated “LP Air Charter Group” within the company to focus on expanding its air cargo capacity and developing new air charter business opportunities around the world. The new group, based in Houston, TX, is being headed up by industry veterans Russell Means and Axel Kaldschmidt.

Whether it’s imported or domestically produced, Logistics Plus is now able to offer alcohol warehousing and distribution solutions at our new Chicago warehouse (and soon from our southern California warehouse as well). Logistics Plus officially received the proper licensing from the Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control to store and distribute alcohol products at our Bensenville, IL facility.

Located in Chino, California, the new Logistics Plus Chino warehouse is the perfect hub for businesses needing Southern California warehousing and fulfillment services. The facility has over 565 thousand square feet of storage and fulfillment space with 140 trailer storage spaces.

While air charters are a common alternative to commercial passenger flights, they’re also an alternative method for transporting cargo. Aside from the cost, one of the most apparent differences between a standard air freight shipment and a cargo air charter shipment is that instead of renting space on a plane you’re renting the entire plane!

Logistics Plus Supply Chain Solutions is officially a registered U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) importer. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Logistics Plus felt obligated to help fight the war against this virus by importing personal protective equipment (PPE) from countries around the world. In order to do so, an FDA importer license is required.

The Logistics Plus Europe Project Cargo team successfully delivered four liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo tanks from Shanghai, China to Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. Combined, the four gas tanks have a total volume of 15,472 freight tons. The tanks are assigned for installation in the largest LNG bunker barge under construction in the United States.
