Friday Nights in the Plaza

Get Ready to Get FUNKY! Join us for an electrifying evening at Friday Summer Concerts in Kennedy Plaza this Friday, August 2 from 5-9pm! Arts in The Plaza, Artists in Partnership, Inc., and the City of Long Beach are thrilled to present NYC based MILO-Z and his band, bringing their unique "Razzamofunk" sound.

Enjoy this free concert featuring vendors, artists, kids crafts, and plenty of space to groove. Also, we will have special guests from the Dance Loft and Professional Youth Theatre. Remember your beach chairs and blankets, as no seating will be provided.

Beach Wrestling

The Jones & Gillespie East Coast Beach Wrestling Tournament will be held this Saturday, August 3, 2024 on Edwards Boulevard Beach. Come and join us for a great day of fun on the beach with food, music, good friends and WRESTLING. This event will honor Coach Paul Gillespie and Coach Reggie Jones.

The tournament will be dedicated to three wrestlers who are unfortunately no longer with us, Lazar LaPenna, Joshua Encarnacion and Michael Berube. Click here for more information.

National Night Out

The Long Beach Police Department and North Park Crisis Team are once again proud to host National Night Out, a community block party and BBQ.

C.U.R.B. Bike Ride

The 21st Annual C.U.R.B. Bike Ride is an approximate 11-mile ride, not race, around the City of Long Beach. This ride is geared for adults and children of all ages. The West End, The Canals, Bay Drive along Reynolds Channel, and the boardwalk are just a few of the points along this year's route.

Proceeds from the ride benefit Citizens United to Remove Barriers (C.U.R.B.), a local non-profit organization that aids in accessibility issues for the physically challenged.

The ride kicks off from the Recreation parking lot at 9:45am on Saturday, August 10th.

One-Mile Swim

The City of Long Beach Department of Parks and Recreation in cooperation with the Beach Patrol will host the 12th Annual Lifeguard Memorial Swim at 9:00am on Riverside Blvd. beach on Sunday, August 11, 2024. The one-mile swim is in honor of all the men and women who have served on the patrol who have passed away. All swimmers over the age of 16 who can swim one mile in 55 minutes or less are invited to participate

Weekdays 10am - 4pm

Weekends & Holidays 8am - 4pm

Daily passes can be purchased at select beach entrances or online.
