Barbie and Ken are hitting the beach! This week's movie on the beach will take place on Saturday, August 24 at dark. Bring a beach chair or blanket and come watch Barbie on Grand Blvd Beach. Don't forget to wear your Barbie pink!

Historical Society Arts and Crafts Show on the Boardwalk
The Long Beach Historical Society will hold its annual Arts and Crafts Fair on the boardwalk this Saturday, August 24 from 10am - 6pm and Sunday, August 25 from 10am to 5pm. Free Summer Beach Concerts
This week is the final concert in our Free Summer Concert Series on the Beach. We hope you enjoyed the entertainment and look forward to next year's line-up.

McAvoy 5-Miler Set for Sept. 2
Registration is underway for the 34th Annual Robert C. McAvoy Labor Day 5-Mile Race. The run will take place Monday, September 2 on the boardwalk at Laurelton Blvd. Registration takes place at 6:30 am; race begins at 8:00 am.

King and Queen of the Beach Kids Surf Contest
The City of Long Beach in cooperation with Skudin Surf will hold the King & Queen of the Beach Kids Surf Contest in memory of Daniel Bobis and Brian Ward on Sunday, September 8, 2024 on Riverside Blvd beach. Registration is now open.

Pool Closings
The Department of Parks and Recreation Municipal Pool will be closed temporarily beginning Saturday, August 24 for maintenance, which will provide a more enjoyable experience for all Rec members. Please check back for updates regarding the reopening date.
