C.U.R.B. Bike Ride

The 21st Annual C.U.R.B. Bike Ride is an approximate 11-mile ride, not race, around the City of Long Beach. This ride is geared for adults and children of all ages. The West End, The Canals, Bay Drive along Reynolds Channel, and the boardwalk are just a few of the points along this year's route.


Proceeds from the ride benefit Citizens United to Remove Barriers (C.U.R.B.), a local non-profit organization that aids in accessibility issues for the physically challenged.


The ride kicks off from the Recreation parking lot at 9:45am this Saturday, August 10th.

Movies on the Beach

Bring the kids! The next movie on the beach will take place this Saturday, August 10 at dark. Bring a beach chair or blanket and come watch Trolls Band Together on Lafayette Blvd Beach. Don't forget the snacks!

One-Mile Swim

The City of Long Beach Department of Parks and Recreation in cooperation with the Beach Patrol will host the 12th Annual Lifeguard Memorial Swim at 9:00am on Riverside Blvd. beach this Sunday, August 11, 2024. The one-mile swim is in honor of all the men and women who have served on the patrol who have passed away. All swimmers over age 14 who can swim one mile in 55 minutes or less are invited to participate. Visit longbeachny.gov/races.

Library Fun Fair

The library is hosting a community event for all this Sunday, August 11, 2024 from 11am - 5pm in Kennedy Plaza to celebrate the Summer Reading Program! Enjoy bounce houses, games, photo ops, book swaps, raffles & more! Click for more information.

Free Summer Beach Concerts

Next week's Free Summer Concert on the Beach takes place on Wednesday, August 14 at 7pm on Grand Blvd featuring Shattered, a Rolling Stones Tribute Band.


Concerts will take place every Wednesday night at 7:00pm on rotating beaches, including Grand Boulevard, Edwards Boulevard and Lincoln Boulevard. See you on the beach. Don't forget your beach chair!

Historical Society Arts and Crafts Show on the Boardwalk

The Long Beach Historical Society will hold its annual Arts and Crafts Fair on Saturday, August 24 from 10am - 6pm and Sunday, August 25 from 10am to 5pm. There will be many new and old favorite vendors, lots of food, crafts, fun, and never-before-seen items on the boardwalk.

Labor Day McAvoy 5- Miler set for Sept. 2

Registration is underway for the 34th Annual Robert C. McAvoy Labor Day 5-Mile Race. The run will take place Monday, September 2 on the boardwalk at Laurelton Blvd. Registration takes place at 6:30 am; race begins at 8:00 am.

Mark your calendars Long Beach!! The festival committee is gearing up for the City of Long Beach 26th Annual Fall Festival being held on October 12 & 13. Purchase Season Beach Passes at the Beach Park Trailer located at 300 West Broadway.

Weekdays 10am - 4pm

Weekends & Holidays 8am - 4pm

Daily passes can be purchased at select beach entrances or online.

WEEKLY EVENTS

The Farmers Market offers a wide variety of local produce, fish, eggs, juices, cheeses, honey, pasta, pickles, teas, soaps, baked goods and more. The Market is open Saturdays and Wednesdays, May through November from 9AM to 2PM in Kennedy Plaza. Visit LIGreenMarket.org

Arts in the Plaza features handcrafted art by local artists including custom jewelry, unique handmade gifts, photography and fine art. The weekly art festival will be in Kennedy Plaza every Saturday from 9AM to 2PM May 25th through October 26th. Visit
