Irish Day Parade & Festival 2024

The Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 17 in partnership with the City of Long Beach, will hold the 35th Annual Irish Heritage Parade and Festival this Saturday, October 5, 2024. The parade steps off from Washington Boulevard and West Park Avenue at 11:00 am and proceeds to Beech Street in the West End. This year's Grand Marshal is the Michael Diamond Charitable Foundation. The aides to the Grand Marshals are James Dowling, Jean Duffy, Robert Prince & Greg Schmalenberger. The festival includes live music, Irish Step Dancers, street vendors, food trucks, kids rides and games.  longbeachny.gov/irishday

Community Input Booth

The City is gearing up to apply for a significant grant to enhance conditions in the West End. To ensure your voices are heard in this pivotal process, City employees will be stationed at West Beech Street and Maryland Avenue during the Irish Day Festival this Saturday, October 5, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. This is your chance to share your insights and ideas about what aspects of the West End should be addressed. Your input is invaluable, please stop by and be part of the progress.

Fall Festival 2024

Mark your calendars Long Beach!! The festival committee is gearing up for the City of Long Beach 26th Annual Fall Festival being held on October 12 & 13. The Costume Parade will be held on SUNDAY. Pumpkin Patch, Carousel, Ferris Wheel with views of the beach and the bay, Wine & Food Tent, Vendors, Hay Rides and so much more. The festival promises an abundance of delightful experiences for all ages. longbeachny.gov/fall

Costume Parade on Sunday, October 13

The Annual Halloween Costume Parade in conjunction with the Fall Festival will take place on SUNDAY, October 13th.

This popular long-standing tradition will begin at 12:00 pm from Veteran's Park located at the Recreation Center Campus on Magnolia Blvd and the bay. The Costume Parade is sponsored by the Long Beach CSEA, the Commanding Officers Association and the Long Beach Professional Firefighters.


Children in grades 5 and under are invited to participate by wearing their favorite costumes. All children in costume at the Halloween Parade will receive a trick-or-treat bag filled with goodies including passes for a free public skating session at the Long Beach Ice Arena.


Line up/registration takes place at the Rec Center beginning at 11:00am. Participants will march from Veteran’s Park to Kennedy Plaza and join in the Fall Festival. Prizes for the best costume will be awarded on the bandwagon at the end of the parade. Who will win the trophy for best costume? Come join us!


What will the best costume be? Who will take home the trophies? We can't wait to see all the fabulous costumes!

P.O.P tickets to attractions at the Fall Festival will also be on sale at the line-up area of the costume parade. See you next SUNDAY!
