Movies on the Beach
The final Movie Night on the Beach will take place tonight, Friday, September 6 on Edwards Blvd beach featuring JAWS.
Previews will begin at dusk (approx 7:30pm). Don't forget your beach chair and why not stop at one of the concessions or a local restaurant before the movie!!

Michelle O'Neill Volleyball
The 28th Annual Michelle O'Neill Volleyball Tournament will be held this Saturday, September 7, 2024. The tournament is a fundraiser to benefit children with cancer and special needs. Check in begins at 8:00 am on Laurelton Blvd Beach. Enjoy music, raffles, food and merchandise! monfoundation.org

The City of Long Beach in cooperation with Skudin Surf will hold the King & Queen of the Beach Kids Surf Contest in memory of Daniel Bobis and Brian Ward on Sunday, September 8, 2024 on Riverside Blvd beach. Registration is now open.

9/11 Events
There are several 9/11 Memorial events taking place in Long Beach on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. The 34.3 Foundation will hold their run from Long Beach to Ground Zero beginning at Riverside Blvd. and the Boardwalk at 8am. The Surfrider Foundation will hold its annual 911 Paddle Out on Riverside Blvd beach at 8:45am. At 7:00pm the City of Long Beach and Long Beach Fire Department will hold a ceremony to pay tribute to the victims and honor the first responders; firefighters, police, rescue and military service men and women. The service takes place on West Park Avenue at Lafayette Boulevard. All are welcome.

Veterans Walk
The Long Beach VFW & Auxiliary Post 1384 in cooperation with the City of Long Beach will host the Annual Veteran's Suicide Awareness and Prevention Walk on Saturday, September 14, 2024. The walk takes place on the boardwalk at Grand Boulevard from 10am to 12pm. Suggested donation is $25.

Hispanic Heritage Kite Festival
The Long Beach Latino Civic Association is hosting their 3rd Annual Hispanic Heritage Kite Festival on Sunday, September 15. 2024 from 12pm - 2pm on Laurelton Blvd Beach. Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by flying kites and enjoying a colorful, joyful day at the beach. Bring your family and friends, and enjoy a day outdoors celebrating Hispanic Heritage! Mark your calendars Long Beach!! The festival committee is gearing up for the City of Long Beach 26th Annual Fall Festival being held on October 12 & 13. The Costume Parade will be held on SUNDAY. The Department of Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce that applications for our extensive line-up of fall programs is now available. There is truly something for everyone.
