Public Art on Candler Road

Public Community Meeting

Nearly 100 community residents of all ages joined Commissioner Johnson and a panel of experts for a Community Conversation to discuss public art and how it can be used to enhance the Candler Road corridor. The panel was moderated by multimedia entertainer Rashan Ali and included local artists Derek Cook (District 3 resident) and George Baker. The Atlanta Regional Commission's Roshani Thakore brought a regional perspective to the discussion.

In addition to hearing from the panel, the community was invited to share their vision for art along the corridor, to react to different forms and types of public art, and to participate in the survey.
