Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) described as an irregular fast heart rate, is the most common arrhythmia affecting over
6.1 million Americans.

Research shows that moderate to high alcohol intake increases a persons risk for an AFib episode. Moderate drinking whether it’s wine, beer or spirits is measured as
one to 14 drinks per week for women
and one to 21 drinks for men .

Heavy drinking or binge drinking more than five alcohol beverages in a day also increases a persons risk for experiencing AFib symptoms.
