Group Exercise Classes 2/22-28
This week all of our Online classes are on our new streaming platform, Vimeo. All of our previously recorded Facebook classes will always be there for you to access if you like, but all new classes will be on Vimeo. We've already had many classes in this format and it's working well. Even more improvements in sound and picture to come.

Below is all you need to know about how to sign up for classes, how to get the links and passwords, how to watch a live class, and how to watch a recorded class. Janine will take you step by step through the process and help you troubleshoot if something goes awry. Linda's Zumba class will stay on Zoom, however you will now sign up through Mindbody like our other online classes to get the link and password. See below for details on how to register.

Step 1: Signing up for Classes

Sign up for classes using Mindbody or the Longfellow app. The Longfellow app is the easiest to navigate and can be downloaded to your phone. You will only be using it to sign up for classes, not to watch the classes. If you already use and are comfortable with the Mindbody app or website, keep doing what you are doing.

Using the Longfellow app, sign in using your email and password for Mindbody. If you don't have a Mindbody account, please create one when prompted to sign in, then contact Janine so that she can designate you as a member. If you don't, you will be asked to pay for classes that are included in your membership.

Choose either Natick Campus or Wayland Campus at the top of the screen in the center. Click the 3 lines to the left of that and choose Online Classes. This way you will only be choosing from our online classes and not make the mistake of choosing one of our live classes when you want to take class online. All of our online classes have the word "virtual" in the title, except Zumba which says "on Zoom." You can also choose to only see Reformer Classes, Group Exercise Classes, etc, and can switch the schedules around as often as you like. Click on the class you wish to take and click "book."

This should trigger a confirmation email that tells you the class for which you have signed up. Please make sure the word "virtual" is in the title or you will not receive the information that you need to take our online classes. The correct confirmation email will give you the links to the live class, the showcase where the class will be archived, and the password for both (there is no archived class for Zumba). If you do not receive a confirmation email, please contact Janine immediately so that she can adjust your account. She cannot do this at the last minute so please plan ahead! Unlike before, you will not receive an email 30 minutes before your class, and reminder emails do not contain the necessary information. Please save your confirmation email for future use.

Step 2: Taking Live Classes

If you wish to take an online class, live at its scheduled time, click the class link from your email and enter the password of the month. This should take you right to the class; if the class hasn't started yet, you will see a screen that tells you it will start shortly. You can take classes on any device that gives you access to your email: phone, tablet, computer, smart TV, etc. As long as you can access a browser to open your email, you can watch classes on that device. Once you are done watching, just close your browser, and you are done.

Step 3: Watching Archived Classes

If you want to watch our online classes after they have been recorded, go to the confirmation email, and instead of clicking the class link, click the Showcase link. This link will always be the same, but there is a different link for the Yoga Showcase, Pilates Showcase, Barre Showcase, Strength Showcase, and Dance Showcase. To get these links, sign up for a related class, as described above. Don't worry about taking up a spot for someone taking the live class, there are plenty of spots available for our online classes; we planned ahead. In the confirmation email, click the link to the Showcase, enter the password, select the class you wish to take, and press play. You can expand the screen by clicking the little 4 arrow icon in the bottom right corner of the video screen. To shrink it back down, click the arrows again (if they have disappeared, use your cursor to hover over the screen or touch it with your finger if you have a touch screen). When you are done, just close the browser.

The process is very simple but might take going through once to get used to. If you have any problems with any part of the process, please email Janine at luminamindbody@gmail.com. She will get back to you as soon as she can.

The password for our online classes is in the confirmation email and is the same for all classes and showcases for the month. Janine will update the password in Mindbody during the 3rd week of each month. If you sign up for classes during the last week of the month, you will see the next month's password in your confirmation email.

Please continue to sign up for in-person classes on Mindbody (or the Longfellow app) since space is limited. Archived classes are still available in the Mindbody Video Library and on Facebook in our closed groups and public Facebook pages.
Online Classes on Vimeo 2/22-28
All of our classes are streamed on Vimeo (directions above). Linda's Zumba classes on Monday and Wednesday are streamed on Zoom but still require sign-up through Mindbody or the Longfellow app to get the link and password. You can always watch a previously aired class by checking in our Facebook groups, the Mindbody Library, or the Yoga Showcase on Vimeo (so many choices!) Please continue to sign up for our In-Person classes through Mindbody. See the schedules by clicking the blue buttons below.
Our Online classes are for all Longfellow members who are up to date with their Longfellow Fitness memberships, or for anyone who has purchased our 30-day Online Class membership. A Longfellow Tennis membership doesn't give you access to our Online classes. Our Online Class membership gives you access to all of our classes on Facebook, Vimeo, and Zoom for a month. Please click the links below if you would like to join our Facebook groups for previously recorded online classes. The Lumina Group has all of our Yoga, Mat Pilates, and Barre classes, and the Longfellow Group has our Strength Training, Quick Fix, Funky Groove, and Longevity Strength and Balance classes.

Duet special for the Month of February!

Purchase 6 Duet sessions for the price of 5, during the month of February! Share Reformer with your love, your teen, your BFF, and stick with your fitness routine! It's always easier to keep exercising when you have a partner. If you are looking for a partner to practice with, please email Janine and she might be able to find one for you.

These sessions are tailor-made to your needs, whether you are an athlete looking to cross-train, a brand new beginner, or maybe you just want to limit the number of people in your Reformer class. Whatever you are looking to do, we can help. Choose your instructor or we can choose one for you.

Group Reformer

We offer Group Reformer classes Tuesday-Sunday for all levels, Beginner through Advanced. Starting Monday, March 1st, we're bringing back Leslie's class, Multi-Level Reformer at 9:15am, so we'll have group reformer classes 7 days a week! We have classes for anyone rehabbing an injury or working with a musculoskeletal condition, as well as classes for athletes looking to cross-train for their sport(s). Reformer classes build core and overall body strength, improve mobility and joint stability and help you feel better in your daily life. Sign up for classes on Mindbody or the Longfellow app! Email Janine to set up a free 30-minute private class to try it out!

The Reformers are cleaned before and after each use and are spaced apart for safety. Please wear a mask and socks (preferably sticky socks) to class.
