All-School Meeting

On Friday afternoon, LFA students, faculty and staff were joined by the 2022 Woman of Distinction Sheri Kersch Schultz ’72 at the All-School Meeting. Schultz challenged LFA's students to – in the words of Denzel Washington – "fall forward" as they begin the same journey that she started at Ferry Hall nearly 50 years ago.

The co-founder of the Seattle-based Schultz Family Foundation also asked students to live "with intention and curiosity" and "above all to practice some form of gratitude every day."

The connection with the students was evident after the 45-minute meeting as lines quickly formed around the Cressey Center for the Arts stage to meet with Schultz, her husband and Starbucks chairman Howard Schultz and President of the Schultz Family Foundation Tyra Mariani where they stayed to talk individually with each of the students.

Welcome Party with Bandstand

Alumni of all ages were welcomed to campus to connect over festive food -- featuring mini Caxy Macs, milkshake shooters and pizza puffs -- and rockin' tunes from "Hey Jimmy."

On Saturday afternoon in the Little Theater in Reid Hall, the Celebration of the Women of Ferry Hall & LFA took place to recognize the history and outstanding achievements of Ferry Hall alumnae and celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the opening of the Ferry Hall dormitory.
