BOROUGH496 is a brand new business center and incubator in the heart of the Historic Highwood Neighborhood in Hamden, Connecticut. In it's past life - the historical building served as a public school. Each classroom has been developed into unique office spaces and can be completely built out to suit the needs of your business. BOROUGH496 offers several options for space, as well as shared services and amenities to foster economic growth in different service and technology industries. Businesses will gain access to collaborative partnerships, membership programs and individualized services.
The 40,000 sq. ft. facility provides individual and co-working office spaces. Rooms range from 650 to 4,200 sq. ft. and can be leased in full or subdivided. BioXcel Therapeutics unveils new AI lab
It's been full speed ahead for New Haven's BioXcel Therapeutics Inc. since it spun off from its Branford parent company BioXcel Corp. in 2017.
In two years, the fledgling biotech has raised $60 million in an initial public offering, expanded from four to 25 employees, brought two drugs into clinical trials and is eyeing 2021 as a target date for launching its first commercial product - a drug to treat agitation in patients suffering from neurological and psychological disorders.
On Thursday, the company celebrated yet another milestone: cutting the ribbon on its new 11,000-square-foot artificial intelligence lab on the 12th floor of the Long Wharf Maritime Center at 555 Long Wharf Drive. Read More
New Initiative in Hamden Helps Students Prepare for Life After High School
Gov. Ned Lamont along with other school leaders came together for the grand opening ceremony of Hamden High STEAM Academy and a celebration of a new initiative to prepare students for life outside high school.
HECA is a collaborative initiative of Hamden Public Schools, Gateway Community College, and the New Haven Manufacturing Association where students will not only learn valuable workforce skills, but they have the chance to earn industry certifications of an associate degree concurrently with their high school diplomas.
