Stewardship is our grateful and loving response to God’s love, grace and gifts to us. It is our personal commitment to God and His Church to ensure its vitality and continuous growth by joyfully and sacrificially offering of our talents, time and treasures that we have received from Him. Stewardship puts our faith in action and demonstrates our trust in God.

Η διαχείριση της Εκκλησίας μας είναι η ευγνώμων και στοργική απάντησή μας στην αγάπη, τη χάρη και τα δώρα του Θεού σε εμάς. Είναι η προσωπική μας δέσμευση προς τον Θεό και την Εκκλησία Του για να εξασφαλίσουμε τη ζωτικότητα και τη συνεχή ανάπτυξή της, προσφέροντας με χαρά και με μικρή θυσία τα ταλέντα, τον χρόνο και τους θησαυρούς μας που έχουμε λάβει από Αυτόν. Weekly/Monthly Giving

STEWARDSHIP AND BUDGET

A successful Orthodox Christian Stewardship Program should provide for the entire Parish Ministries and Operating Budget as well as the growth of those ministries. The parish, in time, will not find it necessary to depend on festivals and other events to meet its financial responsibilities. When a parish first enters into the Orthodox Christian Stewardship Program, proceeds from such events supplement Stewardship revenue shortfalls in order to meet the parish budget. After a few years of concentrated effort and a positive attitude, Stewardship revenues should completely support and provide total coverage and even allow for growth of the budget. Once this has been achieved, festivals and other events may be seen as community events and outreach opportunities, with proceeds going to capital improvements and/or the philanthropic work of the Church.

Ένα επιτυχημένο Πρόγραμμα Ορθόδοξης Χριστιανικής Διαχείρισης θα πρέπει να παρέχει για το σύνολο των Προγραμμάτων Διακονίας και τον Λειτουργικό Προϋπολογισμό καθώς και για την ανάπτυξη αυτών των προγραμμάτων. Η ενορία, με τον καιρό, δεν θα κρίνει απαραίτητο να εξαρτάται από πανηγύρια και άλλες εκδηλώσεις για να ανταποκριθεί στις οικονομικές της ευθύνες. Όταν μια ενορία εντάσσεται για πρώτη φορά στο Πρόγραμμα Ορθόδοξης Χριστιανικής Διαχείρισης, τα έσοδα από τέτοιες εκδηλώσεις συμπληρώνουν τα ελλείμματα εσόδων της Διαχείρισης προκειμένου να καλυφθεί ο προϋπολογισμός της ενορίας. Μετά από μερικά χρόνια γερής προσπάθειας και θετικής στάσης, τα έσοδα του Προγράμματος Διαχείρισης θα πρέπει να υποστηρίζουν πλήρως και να παρέχουν συνολική κάλυψη και ακόμη και να επιτρέπουν την αύξηση του προϋπολογισμού. Μόλις επιτευχθεί αυτό, τα φεστιβάλ και άλλες εκδηλώσεις μπορεί να θεωρηθούν ως εκδηλώσεις της κοινότητας και ευκαιρίες προσέγγισης άλλων, με τα έσοδα να πηγαίνουν σε κεφαλαιώδη έργα αλλά και στο φιλανθρωπικό έργο της Εκκλησίας.

Summer Camp 2022

For all students entering Pre-K through 5th grade in the upcoming school year

Your children will enjoy many fun and engaging activities, experiments, and sports. They will enjoy playing while having fun in a healthy and safe environment.

July 5th until July 28th

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

9:00 a.m.- 3:00p.m.

Cost per child: $475 ($450 for currently enrolled PCA, PGS, & PSGS students for the 2022-23 school year) Prorated rates are available

BABY BOTTLE DRIVE

for Martha & Mary Maternity Home

May 8, 2022

Bottles will be distributed in church on May 8th (Mother's Day). Please fill them with donations and bring them back to the parish on Sunday, June 19th (June 19th). For any questions, please reach out to the parish office.

As we start our new year, we are excited to announce that our parish will participate in Project HOPE (Humanitarian Outreach & Philanthropic Engagement). Project HOPE is a Metropolis initiative to support children, families, and individuals by partnering with parishes and local networks to help achieve food security and stable housing (https://www.chicago.goarch.org/hope). This is a continuous year round effort. The goal for each parish is to help this effort by providing 20 bags of food each month. We are confident that our generous parish will be able to meet and exceed this goal.

Each bag must contain only the non-perishable items shown below. During your weekly grocery shopping, please remember our brothers and sisters in need and purchase a few items from the list for them.

When you have collected all of the items, bring your bag to church with you on Sundays, or arrange a drop-off day/time during the week with the church office. Once a month, we will bring all the bags we have collected to the Hellenic Museum in Chicago for distribution. Extra bags will be distributed to our local food pantry.

You can also support Project HOPE by making a monetary donation. The cost for All the items in the bag is less than $20. Any amount will be greatly appreciated.

Καθώς ξεκινάμε την νέα μας χρονιά, είμαστε στην ευχάριστη θέση να ανακοινώσουμε ότι η ενορία μας θα συμμετάσχει στο Project HOPE (Humanitarian Outreach & Philanthropic Engagement). Το Project HOPE είναι μια πρωτοβουλία της Μητροπόλεως του Σικάγου για την υποστήριξη παιδιών, οικογενειών και ατόμων σε συνεργασία με ενορίες και τοπικά δίκτυα, για την επίτευξη μιας ασφάλειας φαγητού και σταθερής στέγασης (https://www.chicago.goarch.org/hope). Είναι μια συνεχής προσπάθεια όλο το χρόνο. Ο στόχος για κάθε ενορία είναι να βοηθήσει αυτή την προσπάθεια παρέχοντας 20 σακούλες φαγητού κάθε μήνα. Είμαστε βέβαιοι ότι η γενναιόδωρη ενορία μας όχι μόνο θα πετύχει αλλά και θα ξεπεράσει αυτόν τον στόχο.

Κάθε σακούλα πρέπει να περιέχει μόνο τα μη αλλοιωμένα τρόφιμα της λίστας. Όταν πηγαίνετε στο super market για τα δικά σας τρόφιμα, να θυμάστε τους αδελφούς και τις αδελφές μας που έχουν ανάγκη και αγοράστε μερικά τρόφιμα από τη λίστα γι 'αυτούς.

Όταν έχετε μαζέψει όλα τα τρόφιμα, φέρτε την σακούλα στην εκκλησία μαζί σας τις Κυριακές, ή κανονίστε μια μέρα/ώρα κατά τη διάρκεια της εβδομάδας με το γραφείο της εκκλησίας για να την φέρετε. Μια φορά το μήνα, θα πηγαίνουμε όλες τις σακούλες με τα τρόφιμα που έχουμε μαζέψει στο Ελληνικό Μουσείο στο Σικάγο για διανομή. Επιπλέον τρόφιμα θα διανέμονται σε οργανισμούς και άτομα της περιοχής μας.
