We are pleased to announce that former Board member, Lee Rosengard, has been selected, posthumously, as Methodist Home for Children System’s 2024 Volunteer Excellence Award Recipient! Lee was a powerful, consequential Board member.
Lee provided a vital role, ensuring that Methodist emerged strong from the pandemic and experienced a smooth leadership transition. He was essential in guiding and supporting the overall goals of the agency and the Board of Directors. We are forever grateful for his service & lasting legacy to the Methodist Home for Children Board.
Lee spent his 41-year legal career at Philadelphia-based Stradley, Ronon, Stevens & Young, LLP, retiring as a litigation partner in December 2017. For over ten years, he taught Introduction to US Law and Legal Methods for the Penn Carey Law - Master in Law Program. He had decades of experience trying and settling cases, both as a litigator and as an Alternative Dispute Resolution provider. His most precious asset was his family who gave him great joy.

We are happy to announce that Cradles to Crayons (C2C) has been selected as the 2024 Methodist Home for Children System - George Bonadio Leadership Award Recipient! Cradles to Crayons provides a stellar national/regional/local model for engaged, impactful, resource-laden, collaborative partnerships. This award acknowledges the crucial work that C2C has done with Methodist Services, a C2C Service Partner.
Throughout the years, our families have asserted the need for children's clothing. Through Cradles to Crayons' donations of bulk clothing, winter coats, pajamas & underwear, diapers & wipes, hygiene items and shoes, Methodist Services is able to provide these necessary items, along with life skills regarding how to maintain these items and increase parents' self-sufficiency.
Cradles to Crayons provides children from birth to age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive – at home, at school and at play.

From Heritage Farm - Farm Manager, Ryan Curran:
"After several weeks of beautiful weather, Heritage Farm is in the final Fall push: planting cabbage, carrots, collards, kale, lettuce & radishes. Salad greens enrich Educare students’ lunches while a small Market Stand is available to campers & their parents. A monarch butterfly enjoys the nectar of a milkweed (or butterflyweed) flower, planted this year in a perennial Farm section."
